How do you feel about Choctaw County Chargers this year and a prediction on there year?
I like their chances this year especially having Jamarcus Bradley back. He's one of those hidden gems not many people know about. They will after this season. They are definitely a playoff team with the junior class they have returning. I won't predict a record for them since that's unfair for them but playoffs for sure.

They could, but they'd have to have a lot of things go their way. Biggest thing is they HAVE to win at LSU. Haven't beaten the Tigers in years.

I'm guessing 8-4 right now. I think anything better than that is certainly possible. All comes down to Dak staying healthy honestly.

Do you think Bruce or Calhoun City has a better quarterback?
I wouldn't say one is better than the other, but I think each have their strengths. Chakel has tremendous experience and has really improved as a passer. Wesley is a hard-nosed runner and I love what he brings to the table as a QB.

I certainly think they can. Think and will are two very different things. It's way too early to even try and predict that game. Closer to that match-up, I can make a better prediction since who knows what the injury situation/team mindset will be like.
Top young talent to look for in 2A?
That's a good question. It's hard to find young talent to watch out for since this year's senior class is so good in 2A and we won't see too many young guys starting. Duke Upshaw will be a junior so he's technically still a 'young' guy but outside of him we are waiting to see an underclassman step up this year.

Who has the biggest shoes to fill on East Websters football team?
Probably whoever steps up as their No. 1 receiver since Mack Hollenhead graduated. Plus Tyler Doss was a guy you could count on to make the big play on defense and not having him will hurt. So they need someone to step up in that area as well.
Healthy oak hill team how far can they go?
Definitely as far as they want, which would be the State Title. AA will be loaded this year but Oak Hill has the kind of talent returning and coaches to get them there this year.
Will you predict Bruce's record at the end of the regular season?
I won't predict records since it's way too difficult to look that far into the crystal ball but Bruce is definitely an above .500 team with playoffs and beyond type of potential.

That district with City in it is really tuff isn't it?
City, Bruce, Eupora, East Webster, Okolona...imagine if Ackerman had not consolidated. They would be in that division too. That would've been insanity.

Would you say region 4-2A is the toughest division in not just 2A but 1-3A
It's one of the toughest divisions in the state in my opinion. Not many regions have a full district of teams that are capable of making the playoffs but ALSO winning at least one game in the postseason. That's once again the case this year in 4-2A. Ridiculously tough.
Who do you think will go to state in the 2A North?
My pick AS OF NOW is Eupora but 2A North is REALLY strong this year. I could see Baldwyn, Bruce, City, just about any team make a run to the State Title.

Out of this years dandy dozen class who has the most NFL potential??
Woah there. Slow down. How about college potential? There's no guarantee any of the dandy dozen will play in the NFL. Now potential wise for college ball with the dandy dozen, I truly think Dontea Jones has the highest ceiling. His talent is so impressive and you can't teach size. He's so tough to cover and he has great hands and speed. Malik Dear, Leo Lewis and Jay Johnson are not far behind.
Predictions on oak hills record in football this year? And how far will they go in the playoffs?
I think they're capable of having a winning record for sure now how far they go in the playoffs will center around whether or not they can stay healthy since injuries hurt them significantly last year
How you feel about Calhoun City this year?
I feel really good. They've got great pieces retiring in Chakel, Steele and Brieton. I know they lost a lot from last year but they're still a playoff team in my mind no question

How good did oha and Hebron look??
I thought OHA looked good. I really like the energy they had and the new offense Tony Stanford is putting in I think will be a big plus this year. Hebron has some big kids. Bigger than you usually see at 8-man teams. They'll compete for a deep playoff run.
How do you think they'll do this year!?
This is sort of their year to break out since it's Quantesha Patterson's senior year. I'm hoping for good things!

We all know the upshaws are the starting running backs for baldwyn who do you think the wide outs will be??
I would guess Ozzie Price and Matthew Gates even though they're listed as running backs so it'll sort of be a wide receiving group by committee I think.
