Friendly rivals you could say. We do compete against each other so it's fierce! At the end of the day though, we're all in the same business especially the sports guys. Jim Holder has always been such a nice guy to catch up with at games and it's a shame Drew had to leave but he's got a sensational job in Florida.

I think it's gonna be a bend but don't break kind of D for North Pontotoc. Their offense has a lot of weapons from Simpson to Rogers to Lambert.

What sports did you play in high school?
I was a basketball player in high school and ran cross country. I grew up with football but didn't play it. My family held me out for fear of getting hurt. Sure enough, I got hurt plenty of times playing hoops. Whoopsie.

I think it's gonna be in the high 20's, low 30's but I won't give a prediction on who will win because I like both teams too much! There's a reason why it's our Spotlight Showdown!

Indianola gets the win, but OAK Hill is for real and will give the unbeaten Colonels a run for their money.

Bruce is always deep on the line but it's a fairly big loss. Josh has been great this season as a soph.

If I were you, I would focus on Byhalia this week and try not to look ahead to Ripley! Lot of football left to be played but I can tell you that's a phenomenal game to end the season with. Especially since now they're in the same division!

Best offense in 1a?
Cathedral. Boy they sling it all around the yard. I've never seen a 1A team pass it quite like them.
Hebron or kemper?
Kemper has been pretty good so far this season. Measuring stick game for HCS. I would take the Rams.
Impact player for tomorrow's game: Booneville vs North Pontotoc
On both sides: Andrew Lambert from Booneville and Marcus Green from North Pontotoc. When the Blue Devils play well, typically that's when #22 has a big game. Jack has to get the ball in Lambert's hands and let him make plays. Booneville has to be careful not to focus too much attention on Marcus Green because when that happens, that opens things up for Brooks Shannon, Murphy Daniel, and Greg Gambrel. If Marcus can get going on single coverage, watch out.

What's your thoughts on WV
I thought they were ready to take out Charleston, but the Tigers are just too fast for the Blue Devils. I still think they have a great chance at making a run in 3A, but that loss is a big hit to their psyche.

Best Defense in 2-4a??
I think Ripley has the better team, but New Albany may have the best D in 2-4A. They've been outstanding this season in keeping the Cardiac Canines in games.
Who do you think is going to win mantachie or new site??
I like Mantachie's chances and Dustin Carrell could have a big game in that one against New Site's secondary.
Louisville or south ponotoc
Louisville. By a lot. Expect Wyatt to play in the first half, get a big lead, and the Cats will coast to a W.

Is there any true "shutdown" corners in the WCBI viewing area?
That's a great question. It's hard to find any true shut-down corners at all these days with how much the passing game has evolved. Closest to being a shut-down corner would be TC Hatchett from Choctaw County. He's leading the state in INT's right now.
