That's a good question. I think we'll have to wait and see who breaks out next year since both teams lost stout senior classes.

What did you think about Amory Girls soccer this past season?
They took a huge step forward and really built off of the 2013 season. Was really impressed with how much they improved. Only good things ahead for the Lady Panthers!
Who do you think will be the leaders on the Amory football team coming up?why?
I would expect it to be a collective effort amongst the seniors plus some juniors to help lead the team. I'm not sure you have a vocal leader taking the torch this year but Z needs to play big at QB and lead by example if he gets the starting nod.
What do you think about the 2016 seniors in Amory football?
They may be small in numbers but they have some tough kids in that bunch. I'm a big fan of TJ Fields and Drake Wallace. I think they are both big time players.

What do you expect from Smithville basketball next year?
I hope to see them continue to improve on both the boys and girls side. Boys showed some flashes last year and the girls have plenty of room for improvement.

Ashton Wright and Mollie Comer are having superb seasons this year so they're up there. Abby Cantrell and Mary Reeves are up there as well!

Tanner Dement is having a breakout season at Hamilton. He's killing it at the plate. And you could pick just about anyone at TCPS since they have been so dominant at the dish. Logan Johnson is up there though.

I think they've had a tough season as a team but they've got some bright spots that will play for State Championships!

I think they'll still be very good. And they'll have tremendous motivation falling short in the playoffs on penalties last year as motivation. They have a stout junior class returning.

Who will be the one to watch for the Lady Vols soccer team this season
That's tough to answer. I think SA is going to be very solid in girls soccer next year since they return so much experience in the midfield. They'll have tremendous leadership with all of their juniors back for their final season.
what about Bonner Hughes for SA next year
She's definitely one of the key players returning for Starkville Academy next year. She's a great shooter and can score with the best of them.

Struggling a little this year. They're playing some insane games in terms of scores. That 26-15 win over Columbus? That's crazy! They certainly are entertaining to say the least.
You heard any on Choctaw County volleyball yet?
I know they had a tough season last year but there is always next year!

I honestly believe it's a toss-up on both the boys and girls when it comes to Amory and Starkville soccer next year. Both boys teams lose a ton of talent so that's up in the air. I may give a slight edge to Amory girls over Starkville.
