How good will Lafayette football be this year?

As good as they want to honestly. I think the Dores' biggest competition will be themselves. 4A North is theirs if they want it. From Devin Thomas to Tyrell Price to their offensive line returning, they should be able to score on anyone this year. Defense should be stout as well. I honestly think they should be back playing for the State Title and this time they're bringing home the Gold Ball.

On a scale of 1-10 how good of a chance does Baldwyn Have at the basketball state title?

I'd give it a 6.5 right now. The talent back is tremendous, but not having Coach McKay on the sidelines will hurt a bit. They will definitely be the favorite going into the season.

Absolutely. He's a physical specimen that can play just about any position on the football field. He's got super size, great speed, outstanding quickness and power. No doubt he's worthy of Dandy Dozen.

Who do you think are gonna be the three starting in the secondary for baldwyn this year??

Not sure I want to speculate on who's going to start but I'm confident that Matthew Gates and Duke Upshaw to be at least two of the starters in the secondary. Ozzie Price will probably be in the bunch as well.

What do you think about Justin Armstrong from Falkner? Dandy Dozen in every sport.

Not sure I know of him.

Why is JDP not playing football anymore?

I believe he tore his ACL again and that's keeping him out until baseball. He told me he's gonna try to be ready for baseball season.

How do you think Amory will be this year?

Hopefully better. I know they were pretty junior heavy a year ago.

What about high school soccer? Do you keep up with it?

I try to. It's usually during a busy part of the season with football wrapping up and basketball starting back up again but we will keep up with HS soccer.

What do you know about soccer?

Quite a bit. Played until I was in 4th grade and followed the game when I transitioned over into being a basketball player. I wish the World Cup came every year.

who do you think are some key players for amorys football team?

I think you're going to see TJ Fields have a breakout season at running back. He was a key part to the offense last season. They've got to find a way to get Phillip Tyra involved on offense. A guy that's 6'6 is a huge weapon in the receiving corps for Gunnar Hall. Defensively, look for Isaiah Carter and Jarvis Sykes to hold down the secondary and help lead the way in slowing down the opposing passing attacks.

do you think amory football will do okay with out JDP?

I actually got a chance to talk with him at the 7 on 7 a few weeks ago and even he said Gunnar Hall has the opportunity to have a great season. It was tough on the Panthers last year having to change QBs right at the start of the year and they played catch up the rest of the season. I think if they stay healthy and keep Hall protected they could be a team to watch out for this season.

He did not specifically.

Do you think he would go farther than a junior college.

I think Donta has a chance to be productive enough in college where a 4-year school could take a chance on him after his 2 years at Northeast.
