what's your opinion of noxapater?

I think they'll go through a transitional season this year, but the cupboard isn't completely bare. They have plenty of good talent but it's still young and unproven. I think they still have a great shot at making the playoffs this year.

What does Eupora have in store for this up coming football season?

BIG things. I'm telling you, Eupora is quietly flying under the radar for some reason. All the talent they have back at the skill positions and leadership roles makes the Eagles my team to watch out for in 2A. Lamontae, Corson, Trey are gonna have big years.

Whats your view on Houston's baseball team next year?

All they lose is Austin Burdine, which is a pretty significant loss. But the rest of the team is back for next year. Honestly, they may be my pick to win 4A next year. They'll be that good and with everything that West Lauderdale lost it furthers their chances to go all the way.

What kind of improvements on his arm does Wesley need to make?

I think mechanics wise he needs to shorten up his delivery and increase his speed. He's a little slow getting the ball out but in terms of accuracy and power he has all the tools.

How will Smithville's basketball team be?

Hopefully they'll be just as good as last year! It was a memorable and historic season at the Nole Dome.

Wesley Ross is Bruce's new QB. He's amazing, has a heck of a arm. Nothing but good things to come from him.

WOAH. I had not heard that. That's huge for Bruce. QB was a big spot to fill and Wesley is definitely a big time addition. Super tough kid, arm needs improving but he's a capable starter for sure.

We will not since they are out of our viewing area unfortunately.

What do you think about Amory's basketball chances next year?

No where else to go but up honestly. Last year was tough with such a young team for the boys and girls so hopefully this upcoming season will be better!

Who has the best fans and hostile environment in 3A football.

Hmmm...that's a good question. Aberdeen can get pretty rowdy when the Dawgs are tough. Louisville is always an intimidating place to play with their stadium and fans. I think Mooreville's home field is underrated since the sidelines are so small and the fans are right on top of you. Louisville would probably be my top choice as best fans and environment in 3A but Water Valley has one of the best stadiums in the state. It's a personal favorite of mine!

What are your thoughts on IAHS girls basketball run to the title this past spring? Do you think they will have a good season this upcoming year? Also, do you think IAHS will win division 1-4A in football?

Remarkable to say the least. One of the great runs I've seen from just about any high school basketball team. I think duplicating last year will be difficult since Kim and Jamyia are gone but Constance can bury it from anywhere on the court and Tori has the chance to have a super career.
As of today, I'm picking IAHS to win 1-4A in football. I think the returning talent they have at the skill positions will be big going into the season. Expect Shannon, Corinth and Amory to be their biggest threats.

Eupora had zero seniors last year!

They had one according to their roster, but it may be outdated from what we were given before the season.

How Do You Think Starkvile High Boys Basketball Will Be This Year?

I hope they'll be very good. They overachieved by most accounts last year and probably should have made it to Jackson if it weren't for some unfortunate circumstances. I expect big things from the Jackets this upcoming season.

You said earlier in a post that eupora is as young as EW in baseball...well eupora has 5 seniors an east webster has 3...

Are we talking about next year or....?? They were both fairly young last year. Eupora only had 1 senior. EW had 2 or 3 to my knowledge.

Do you think north will beat south, again this year?

I believe so. North has the advantage of returning a bevy of talent at skill positions and South will still be working in a new system. But I think it will be MUCH closer than NP would like

How do you think Saltillo will do this year?

I like their chances at competing for a playoff spot and beyond. When you've got a player like Mookie Pounds coming back plus the athletes returning, the Tigers need to take advantage of this opportunity.
