Who are Calhoun City's top three pitchers this year?

I haven't seen enough of the pitchers to give you a good top 3 from their rotation but I can tell you their lineup from 1-9 at the plate is one of the best in Class 2A.

What's your opinion on eupora baseball? And how far do you think think they can go this year?

I think they have the talent to make a deep run this season especially with the way Trey Pittman and Rusty Johnson have been outstanding to start the season. Next year they'll be EVEN better but this season they're good enough to get to Pearl even in a super deep class 2A North.

Right now I'd be leaning towards Kosciusko and their hot start but I'm not forgetting about the fellas from Caledonia and Houston. Those two teams are gonna make a run at Pearl.

What do you think about Kate Upton?

Beautiful, stunning, drop-dead gorgeous, hot...anything else I can say?

Thoughts on next season's Louisville Wildcats? After losing Wyatt Roberts and 24 more seniors?

Key will be having Brady Anderson at QB. If he's there as the starter, I think the Wildcats have a chance of repeating. You still have Dontea Jones and Demarcus Brooks on offense plus a stout O-Line and Jalon Sangster and Lawill Carter on D. I don't see any reason why they can't make another run at the Gold Ball again next year!

What are your thoughts on Starkville Academy's football team this upcoming season?

Should be another step up from last season. Houston Clark has a great future at QB and they were pretty young a year ago. Winning that last game against Pillow gave them some major momentum going into the offseason so the Vols may be a team we should watch out for in the playoff chase next year.

What do you think about Calhoun City baseball? Who are some key guys for them

Chakel Gates and Jordan England are two guys I'm watching out for from City. They're my sleeper team in 2A, if you can even call them a sleeper!

What do you think about Kosciusko's New head coach? And what do you think about Tyler Peterson going to Northwest Rankin?

Absolutely LOVE Trac Baughn as the new coach. Defensive mind, great intensity. And it's an easy transition with Peterson leaving since he was the DC last year. I think Peterson moving up was only a matter of time. The turn around he did at Noxapater and then at Kosciusko shows he deserves to coach 6A football. He's got a major rebuilding job at NWR but if there's anyone that can do it, it's him.

What's your opinion on Calhoun City baseball this year?

I'm keeping a close eye on City this year. I think the Wildcats could be the team that may make a run out of Jackson but man is 2A North absolutely loaded. Gotta be able to keep up with the football and basketball teams that made it to the State Title games!

What do you think about the Kosciusko Whippet Football team?

I think they could be the team to beat in 4A-4 next year. Even with losing Coach Peterson, the talent they have back should put them in position to compete for the title.

Are you suprised Amory hasn't won a baseball game yet? Do you think they still have a shot at making the playoffs?

I'm pretty stunned they haven't won yet to be honest. Their bats have been really quiet and that's been the most shocking to me. I think they're still a playoff team but they have to get it together before region play begins.

How do you think Mamie Hollenheads Jaw injury will affect the Lady Wolverines Fast Pitch team?

Ahhh I had no idea Mamie hurt her jaw! Hope she heals up quick, they'll need her out there. But since the Lady Wolverines have great depth, they can soldier on but they'll need her for the stretch run!

That's a tough one to answer. I can tell you one of the top safety's right now going into next year in the area will be Tupelo's Jarvis Wilson. He's really getting used to the position and making plays.

I really believe the Blue Devils are a sleeper in 3A this season on the diamond. They've had a solid start to the season and their pitching has been top-notch.

How do you feel about baldwyn football next year?

I think it's going to be a transitional season for the Bearcats especially trying to work in a new QB. But heck, you still got Duke and Laquintez so that's a pretty good foundation to build on.

Who all are standout baseball players from eupora?

Trey Pittman and Rusty Johnson are the two guys that I can think of off the top of my head. They're dominant at the plate and in the field.

who is gonna be the top freshman at amory this year?

For baseball? I'd say Ryan Morgan has had a pretty good start to the season. Amory's gotta get the bats going.

What's your opinion on East Webster baseball for the upcoming season?

I think they're one of the teams to beat in Class 2A. Strong pitching, solid hitting at the plate.
