What does Houston have to do this Friday to beat Eupora?
Slow down their prolific offense. Eagles have been scoring at will on their opponents thus far. Make them one-dimensional and you'll have a great shot at beating them. Got to get pressure on Trey Pittman first and foremost.
What do you think about Starkville Academy?
They're off to a blistering start to the season. I knew they were going to be good, I just had no idea they would be THIS good. They were magnificent against Mag Heights and now they have major momentum for the rest of the season. Watch out, MAIS.

French Camp? There are 4 spots in the playoffs and you know Nanih Waiya and Pelahatchie will probably get 2. Will FCA get one considering all the other teams they are capable of beating?
I think with the way things are falling into place it's looking like FCA will get the 3 or 4 out Region 3-1A. That Noxapater win will be huge going forward. Sebastopol will probably be the team they'll have to beat to get the 3-seed.

How do you think the Calhoun City and North Panola game will come out?
I'm really pulling for City to stay unbeaten, but I think this will be their toughest test of the season. North Panola has got some extremely talented athletes and they're a different team when they are playing at home. Right now, I think NP will pull out a squeaker but I really hope the Wildcats can pull off the W and cement their place as the best team in 2A!
What is your prediction on EW girls basketball team this year??
I think this is their year to really do something big. Strong junior class back for their senior seasons with talented players behind them. Should be just as good if not better than last year's impressive season.

Are you talking about Calhoun Academy? No way, Jose. That would be a major mismatch. CA doesn't have the athletes that Bruce does.

What is your prediction on EW boys basketball?
I think they'll be a better team this year with a year under their belt. Since they were so young last year, they'll need those young guys to step up and fill the senior roles of Sam Butler and Tanner Pritchard.

It's going to be a barn-burner, should decide Region 3-1A. I really think Nanih Waiya will get the win since they will be much more physical and want to wear out the Chiefs. Either way, it should be a great game.

How about their entire TEAM? They're both very talented teams and it's unfair to single out key players at this point.

Very important parts of the CA team this year.
Eupora has also beat New Hope this year. Not once but three time! I think it should be an interesting game if the Eagles can keep the bat on the ball the whole game.

I'm not sure we'll really find out until they play North Pontotoc but I think they're definitely one of the better teams in 3A North. Their strong win over Nettleton showed that.

But Eupora is very strong this year too. And they've beat New Hope twice this year. I think Eupora has a good chance too
Like I said, nothing against Eupora at all. I really like what the Eagles have this season. EW is just a juggernaut this year.

Good test for both teams. I'm intrigued to see how OHA does against a big team like Heritage and how Heritage does against a tough team like OHA.
