I think the entire group of upper-classmen are important, key players for Bruce this year. It was a very young team a year ago and now they're all back and ready to go for the title.

Which player do you know that's so valuable to their team in boys high school basketball?
Easy answer is Malik Newman at Callaway. Without him, they're a different team. Around our area, I think there's a lot of players that are extremely valuable to their teams. Conner McKay of Baldwyn stands out. He can be at the point, he can spot up and shoot, he can do anything for them and they're a different team when he's on the floor. Shemar Johnson at New Hope is another guy. Without him, the Trojans just aren't as long and lengthy on offense and defense. I'd say those two stand out from the viewing area.

Do you think hatley slowpitch softball will make it far next year being in the 3A class? They are losing a lot of essential players.
Still wayyyyyyyy too early to be talking about slow-pitch right now. We got a fast-pitch season to look forward to!

How do you think Hatley will do in the district tournament this week?
They'll compete hard and I think they can get a win but it will be difficult to make it out as a Top 3 team and get into the playoffs.

do you think kossuth softball will dominate this season?
Dominate is a pretty strong word. I think they have a chance to be very, very good since they didn't have one senior on the team last year but 3A is strong with softball teams.
How do you feel about the Junior class of Hatley baseball?
I like them. They've got some strong players to take them into 3A next year.

I hope so. It's been too long that Amory hoops has been down

Much improved from last year and competing to go deep in the state tournament

East webster girls basketball has a good chance of going to state if they beat Eupora or Calhoun city in the play offs, do you think they have a chance of winning state??
Won't be easy, but absolutely I think they have a great chance of making it to state and possibly winning it. The defending champs from Coahoma AHS though are super tough so it will be quite a task but if they can catch fire from the outside and work the inside game then they can pull it off no question.
