Haha well to be honest, I haven't seen many 2a private school games so far so I couldn't tell you the best punter in that class.
Do you think oak hill will make the playoffs? If so, how far can they go?
I think the playoffs are a formality now for Oak Hill, it's how far they go that is the question now. They've shown they can compete with the best in their class and around the state, now they have to back it up. I think a State Championship is a reasonable expectation for the Raiders.
Best player(s) at Pontotoc HS?
Right now it's probably Jon Hall their running back but in a couple years, it will be Will Ard.
who would u pick for DE: Joseph Caskey from OHA or Hunter Ferguson from HA?
Probably Hunter but it's a tough choice. Both of those guys get after it in the trenches.
What you think about Jimmy Baldon for New Albany?
I really like Jimmy a lot. I think he's the key to that offense going forward. He's someone that NA needs to get the ball to more often so he can make plays. Any time the ball is in his hands, something good does come around for the Bulldogs.

What's your opinion on Pontotoc
Right now, they're extremely young but I see a team that is disciplined that will make it back to competing for championships in the next 5-10 years if coach Brown sticks around. Will Ard is the future.
Who's the better QB? Davis Brown from Bruce or JR Jennings from Calhoun City?
Wow that's a great question. Two completely different passers so it's hard to compare the two. I'd probably have to go with JR because of his ability to run but Davis was a pinpoint passer I loved to watch.

Best player(s) at Hebron?
Justin Gordon has the big play threat ability that they need on that team but he's still getting used to playing football. He's probably their best player with the most potential.

I really like Will. He doesn't play like a freshman at all. He's got tremendous potential to grow into a special QB at Pontotoc.
Top receiver at Saltillo?
Probably Reggie Miller, who by the way is one of my favorite basketball players of all time. But he's a good receiver at Saltillo too!
What do you think about Magnolia Heights?
I haven't seen enough of them since they're out of our viewing area but the Chiefs are always strong. I know they're missing Fernando Van Hook from last year. He was real tough to stop in between the tackles.
Slowpitch softball is so overlooked
I actually went to a slow pitch game tonight and enjoyed it! Any sporting event in my mind is fun, doesn't matter where!
Do you favor any other athletes from Webster county? Not just football?
I love watching East Webster's softball team. They're always one of the best 2A teams in the state. Hard to pick out any other athletes since my mind is focused on football!
The way you answered the question about Eupora, says you think they will beat East Webster. East Webster was said to only win one game this season. They're 6-0.
Who said East Webster was going to win one game this season? Certainly wasn't me. I pegged EW as my sleeper team for 2A this year and I for one am not surprised at all they're at 6-0 right now. Impossible to pick either East Webster or Eupora in that game right now. Still way too much football to be played to make a prediction!
What do you the the outcome of East Webster and Eupora will be?
WAY too early to even think about that game since 4-2A has so much to go through until November. But right now, it's anybody's best guess. Those two teams have been two of the best stories of the season thus far.

What are your thoughts about Eupora High School?
Quietly putting together another run to Jackson. I'll be the first to tell you I was skeptical as to how good the Eagles would be without Derrick Jones, Lazerick Davis, Vandy Smith. But boy, they have proved me wrong. Trey Pittman has been sensational thus far this year and Eupora has been DOMINANT. I expect them to have the final say in 4-2A this year. They're that good.
Best player at South Pontotoc?
Probably their QB, Wesley Ross. He was a bulldozer in their game against Mooreville last week from what I could tell. Armon Gregory has some skills too as a receiver.
What do you think about Hayden Baker from north pontotoc high school?
Undersized but still young and improving. He's gonna be very good when he's a senior.

What are your thoughts on Starkville high school?
I thought they had shaken off the yearly 'Starkville Slow Start' but apparently they hadn't. Now, we begin to see how good the Jackets are and sure enough they brought it in their win at Columbus last week. I think the win over Southaven is going to progress this team to big things this year. Their home game with Madison Central will determine a lot going forward in the playoffs. Raphael Leonard is one of the better players in the area that no one knows about.

What advantages does oak hill have over Manchester?
The number one advantage they have is their ability to run. Oak Hill boasts one of the better rushing attacks in the area and they'll have to use it to their advantage against the Mavericks on Friday.
