I think this is a really underrated game. Caledonia has greatly improved and Houston continues to be a very tough team to beat. I would give the slight edge to the Toppers right now but it's going to be a super close matchup

Hard to recognize just 3 from their team so I'll throw out a bunch of names who've been stellar thus far: Brieton Sykes, Chakel Gates, Steele Liles, Jordan England, Jesse Nabors, Jaalen Thomas, Pat Gardner. Man, City has been good this year.

Thoughts on ole miss and Alabama saturday?

I know I may be in the minority, but I really like Ole Miss' chances. Yes, Alabama is coming off an extra week but I think the Rebels are ready to prove themselves. Having home field is huge. Should be one for the ages.

Prediction for state and a&m

I'm REALLY hoping that this is MSU's time to finally rise to the occasion in a big game with a TON of expectations on them. I really hope that is it. Honestly though, I'm having really bad nightmares with 2012 in the back of my mind. Feels nearly the same way. That's what scares me about the A&M game because of MSU's secondary. We shall see, but as of now I think A&M will get the win. I hope I'm wrong!

I highly doubt we would move up to a 7A in Mississippi since the state doesn't have enough schools to support that. Alabama is a bit different. They moved up to 7A because they do have a TON of schools but it wouldn't be feasible for us in Mississippi.

Not sure it's anything, honestly. SP has to be patient. Coaches don't come in and turn around a team in a couple months. It takes time. They have the right guy at the helm in Coach Bradley, it's just going to take time.

What about north pontotoc this year?

They're offense is lethal. They can really sling it around and Caleb Nelson has been tremendous thus far with all of his weapons. Defense is a big question mark right now with all the points they've given up but right now 3A North is opening up.

I think he definitely deserves consideration with the kind of season he's having. Dude has done everything this year for City. But he'd be among my Top 12 best players in the state of Mississippi for next year, no question. Hopefully the powers that be see that as well.

MVP is still Jay Johnson. He has to carry the mail for the Trojans for Bruce to be in it on Friday. If City slows him down, Bruce is in trouble.

I think it's a very intriguing match-up. Since Corinth has fallen off in recent weeks, Region 1-4A is completely up for grabs now. This could be the game that decides who takes control of the division.
