Who needs to step up for Baldwyn baseball next year?

Connor McKay is going to have to be a big part for the baseball team next year. He's one of the top returning players on the diamond. But those freshmen will have to grow up quick to step up. John Swinney, Braxton Nabors and sophomore Will Roberts.

Who wins game 3 between Houston and Itawamba?

I'm leaning towards Houston but these two teams are so difficult to figure out. They've played in two Game 3's already in these playoffs and this will be their 3rd. Really going to come down to who each team has left to start on the mound.

Do you think justin, Jacob, Matthew, or Nate from Baldwyn have potential or the talent to play college baseball anywhere like Ryan?

I know it's late in the game, but I think Justin and Jacob have the potential to go JUCO to play two more years. They've got some pop at the plate that could translate to the next level.

What do you think the outcome of the Hamilton vs. Ingomar baseball game is going to be tonight??

I thought that Hamilton would be able to even the series but right now it's looking like Ingomar is going to hold on for the sweep. We'll see!

Key leaders for Calhoun Academy?

Honestly I'd say any of the eight seniors that are returning will have to be leaders next season. Will have to be a leadership by committee to get the most out of this team.

Who is the best sophomore on the Hatley baseball team?

I think Brock Kidd is far and away their best sophomore and he's one of the best sophomores in the area for baseball.

What do you think about mantachie football?

I think they went through a tough season this past year but this next season with what's returning they have a chance to be very good.

what kind of football season do you expect Coach Davis and Northeast to have next year?

I'm high on the Tigers next year. I think they can get above .500 but it will really depend on how they replace Corbin White at running back. He was their workhorse.

What do you honestly think about Calhoun City this upcoming football season?

I think if they can find some new skill position guys and sure up the front line then they'll be right back in the running for 4-2A.

Best Center Feilder in 4a baseball?

Itawamba's Russ Payne is a pretty darn good centerfielder. There are so many great outfielders that it's hard to peg down the best center fielder.

For my money right now it would be Smithville but if Ingomar holds off Hamilton that's going to be one heck of a series for the 1A north crown.

I think Trey Pittman started Game 1, thus Rusty Johnson went tonight for the Eagles.

Who is an impact player for Calhoun city in football? And who do you think their starting quarterback will be?

Jojo Gray is going to be the starter at QB. Coach Liles has told me nothing but good things about him. Brieton Sykes is going to be the biggest impact player in the area next year. No one player probably means more to their team than Brieton does for City next season.

Welp, I would've said Hatley in a game 3 but the Tigers got the job done tonight!

How do you think amory football will be next year?

I've been saying it for the last few months but I think Amory is going to be the surprise team next season with all the pieces they have returning. They got some players! I think they could win 1-4A and make a deep run in the playoffs.

Thoughts on Jonathan Waycaster from Hatley?

I think Jonathan is a tremendous athlete. He's got a great arm if they ever need him on the mound and he's a terror at the plate.
