Did you think Booneville girls was going to win state champs in basketball?
I picked Belmont at the start of the season but Booneville certainly surprised me with how well they played and how well coached they were. That was a fun team to watch in terms of defensive intensity and team mindset.
Baldwyn also improved as soon as the coaching change happened 2 years ago

How did Baldwyn baseball came from being a lower team in the division to the best in a year?
Experience and maturity. They were mainly made up of sophomores and juniors on last year's team and you see those players becoming big time players for them now. It's as simple as that...just growing up and using another year of experience.

will you be suprised if baldwyn beats east webster if They make it to north half in softball?
I wouldn't say I would be surprised because Baldwyn definitely has the firepower to beat anyone but East Webster has been the team to beat since the start of the season in 2A so if Baldwyn does get past EW, I will be very impressed.

They're one of the teams to beat in 2A North for me right now. Baldwyn and East Union are the other two I'm watching but the Trojans' pitching is what has them in position to make a run.
what are your thoughts about baldwyn softball?
They're on a roll right now especially after that win over Tupelo. They'll make a run in 2A North, but I still go back to having East Webster to deal with in 2A North. That will decide everything.
do you think kossuth softball has a chance at state this year?
3A is pretty loaded this season with the likes of Mooreville, South Pontotoc, Nettleton and obviously St. Patrick so I'd say it would be pretty difficult to make it through those types of teams and get to state for the Lady Aggies.

WHAT. Good gracious that's when you know life is unfair. I love the kid. He's been nothing but great and that's awful news. I know how hard he's worked to try and make it back on the field.

I do, but in doing so they would have to get past East Webster in 2A and that's quite a tall task. Thinking and actually doing are two very different things.

Gonna be tough. They lost a great senior class from a year ago and North Pontotoc is beginning to establish themselves as the favorite.
Eupora softball is terrible.. East Webster smashed them last week
What's with the shade against Eupora? East Webster is a power house this year, there's no question but don't pile on your rival!

Now that Baldwyn swept Mantachie and East Union how good are their chances of winning division?
Well let's see they just swept the top 2 contenders in that division so I'd say their chances are fair :)

What do you think of Drake Wallace from amory?
He's having a tremendous sophomore season. A pleasant surprise for that team and he's been a big reason why they're on the way up
How do you think Amory football will do next season?
I think they'll be back in the playoffs. It hurt the Panthers quite a bit losing JDP in the 1st game and playing catch up with inexperience at QB. They have that back and I think that's big time going forward
What do you think of Pontotoc City's athletic program? Like, just all of their sports in general.
You mean their high school sports or something else?
Smithville must have a great fan base bc they are always asking questions
And I hope they keep them coming. They do have a great following and a passionate group of fans. They love their Noles and I love them too!

Toppers just continue to win close, nail-biting games. That's a really good sign for them going forward especially with their pitching down the stretch.
Is Ripley the real deal at baseball or are they just hot right now?
They're definitely good enough to make a run at the 4A-2 crown plus the 4A North title so absolutely I'd say they are the real deal. They're getting hot at the right time but I think they can also sustain that hot streak.
What do you think of Kosciusko's softball team?
I haven't had a chance to see them unfortunately. The Whippets are little far out for us to get to but hopefully I can see them soon!
