What do you think of Winona Football this coming up season and are yall touring them .?

We are indeed visiting coach Tompkins this week! Our preview of the Tigers will be on Friday in fact. I think they have the potential to move in the right direction this season. I know last year was difficult and having a young team was tough but they've got some good pieces back on the ground plus some promising juniors on defense. Keep an eye on Winona. They will definitely win more than 2 games this season.

how do you think Baldwyn with do this football season now that they have lost Corbin Scott?

Better than most people think in my opinion. Losing Corbin hurts, no question. But I think having Duke and a 2nd option at QB could make the Bearcats more dangerous. Baldwyn is going to run you to death this upcoming season and teams won't like having to deal with that.

Should be better! Young last year, gotta keep getting better.

As of right now, I'm taking Bassfield over Eupora. That may change before the season starts, but that's Robby's pick as of today.

Better high scho running back: aeris Williams or Ashton shumpert?

Whew, that is a great question. Both had tremendous power and speed, and both were very underrated in their abilities coming out of the backfield as a receiver. If you made me pick one or the other, I'm not sure I could. They are so similar and I love both WAY too much.

what do you think of amory football next season?

I think they'll be better. It hurt losing JDP during the first game. Not sure they were prepared to have that happen. Now that they have more time to develop a QB, I think they'll be a better side. I liked watching TJ Fields on offense last year. He's got to play big this season.

What did you think about Smithville's athletics with pretty much every sport going to the north half?

I think you just answered your own question! They were outstanding this past year. Plain and simple. LOVED seeing the baseball team come home with the title.

Who will be better in football heritage or oak hill?

I'd still say Heritage with Oak Hill's questions on the coaching staff but the Raiders have some of the best skill position guys that no one has heard of in the Riley Bros.

How do you think smithville football will be with the new coach in Chad Collumd

I think they've got some good pieces coming back in Neil Knight, Hasten McKissick and Tristan Hawkins but it will obviously be a tough job to out-do what Drew Lann and Tyler Hood did last year. I think it'll be a transitional-type season but better than people will expect.

what about Bruce football ?

Having Jay Johnson is huge but I'm still concerned at QB. I know they're young at that spot but they've got plenty of playmakers and top notch defense. I like their chances this season but they're in a very difficult division as you well know.

Calhoun City Football 2014?

They will undoubtedly be competitive, but losing guys like Lavarious, Cartin, Travone, and Shaq Wright will hurt. But having Chakel back at QB plus Brieton Sykes and Steele Liles playing both ways will give them a chance to be successful this year.

2014 eupora football season? Players to watch out for?

Should be a VERY strong team, especially on offense. Speed and talent just about everywhere on the field this upcoming season, especially with Trey Pittman at QB. Trey's been there for like 12 years starting at QB and he's got plenty of weapons in Lamontae Salley and Corson Gunn. I think they've got a great chance to get back to Jackson.

How do you think Coach McDonald from Eupora will do in basketball this upcoming school year?

I think he'll do just fine. Got some good athletes to work with.

Eupora softball players to look out for this year?

Still a ways out to look at next year for softball!

What do you think about Baldwyn softball this year? With a new coach and a whole new team? Who is there starting pitcher?

Still quite a ways out to look at next year for the Bearcat softball team but from what I know the new coach is a good hire!

What do you think of the Falkner Eagle offense? Will they put up big numbers?

Well they still got you and Jeramie running the ground attack so I'd say yes sir, y'all will put up some big numbers. Need a breakout star like Chris in the receiving corps to show up this year.

Well since he already left and told the team he's leavin I'm pretty sure he is leaving.

Still hasn't been finalized nor confirmed as we've been through. I've spoken with him directly. Until it's signed off by the school, it is not official.

Cody Shelton and Chandler Carter? They'll have to be leaders on D with the senior class that has departed.

Best coaching staff in 2A North? (Football)

Tough question. There are so many great ones. Literally every staff in 4-2A is top-notch and Baldwyn has a tremendous group. If I had to pick one though, I'd probably go with Bruce! Eupora is very close and so is City.

Don't sleep on Baldwyn in baseball this year!
