Why ain't Brieton Sykes a dandy??

He'd be on the Dandy Dozen if I was picking! But there's only 12 guys that can be selected. You can come up with all sorts of reasons but honestly it's just the opinion of some people. Shouldn't be taken the wrong way, but just used as fuel to Brieton's fire.

What do you think of Booneville's new baseball coach?

I've heard lots of good things about Kevin Williams and got a chance to meet him when I was on the Tour recently. Great hire.

How do you think Baldwyn football will do this year?

I think they'll be solid. They're in a VERY winnable division once again but it's not as easy as a road compared to last season. Some question marks at the skill positions and in the trenches but overall I like the Bearcats.

How do you see Booneville baseball season going this year?

Time will tell. Had a tough year last season so we'll have to wait and see!

Did you know Scott lashley from West Point football has the most scholar ship offers than any body in the nation?

Was not aware of that. Very impressive. But also, offers don't necessarily mean you have it made! You still have to work to make it!

Out of all of the runningbacks you did coverage on which one will you miss talking about?

From last season? Definitely Jamarcus Bradley from Choctaw County. That dude was a magician with the football. He wasn't a running back per say but he was the leading rusher in the area by a mile. Boy he was so much fun to watch.

how do you think the Booneville football team will do this year?

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Blue Devils this season. Talent-wise I think they still have a ways to go as a team but just talking to coach Mattox a few weeks ago I can tell he really likes this team. That says a lot immediately. They'll be tough to beat this year and with their new division no question they are a playoff team.

I truly think he should have. He is one of the best athletes in the state and the plays I saw him make last season were just incredible. He was on my Dandy Dozen but just barely missed out. I know he'll use it as motivation for the season and just make him hungrier for the future.

Sorry!! Ugh, been so busy lately. The 5am-11pm days are starting to take a toll on me with the Tour. But football is nearly here! Okay, let's get to some questions.

Wen will you b coming to wp football for 60/60

I'd say probably in August when y'all put the pads on. We usually save West Point to the end of the Tour!

how do you think Baldwyn Baseball will be next season?

Hard to say with what they lost from a season ago. I'll wait to judge on Baldwyn for 2016 but right now they'll need quite a few younger guys to step up.

East Webster and Calhoun city match up in football? Thoughts?

Whoever is tougher in the trenches will win. That's going to be a slobberknocker of a game. One of the more physical battles you'll see in 2A this season.

Key players for Calhoun city baseball next year? Name them?

Hard to say right now with the seniors that graduated. I'd take a wait and see approach as to who we need to watch out for in 2016 with Calhoun City baseball.

Do you think calhoun city will make it back to state for the third year in a row? If so who do you think that might face in the championship?

I think it's going to be really tough to make it back this year but they're in the discussion. Losing Chakel and Steele and Jordan and all of those senior leaders hurts. A lot. But they've got plenty of talent coming back. If they do make it back, I think Bassfield will be there. Again.

Maybe he can own to the last name gates and be better than his older cousin was haha. He has a lot of potential in my opinion

What's your opinion on Riley Dotson? The running back at Calhoun Academy

I like Riley a lot. I think he is a lot stronger and tougher than what you see in terms of stature and strength.

thoughts on baldwyn basketball team this upcoming season?

State Championship or bust. Again. It will always be that way at Baldwyn until something changes. They do lose a lot of size inside but at times, the Bearcats were actually pretty good when they had their small lineup in the game. You'll see that a lot more this season.

how do you think the amory volleyball team will do this year? & any players that stand out?

Had a lot of seniors graduate last season so that will hurt but honestly just continuing to play together as a team and build in the sport will help Amory. Volleyball is a tough sport to start if you haven't been playing for too long so I expect Amory to continue to take another step in the right direction.
