In a matchup of all around ball playing ability who is better, Lane Kennedy, Addie Thompson, or Angel Guyton?

Oh gosh that's completely unfair to say. I can easily say though that all 3 are some of the best softball players in our area and have extremely bright futures.

I thought duke played qb for baldwyn last year

He did, but Jacob Turner got more of the snaps and was the passing option. Duke was the wildcat option at QB but he could throw it at times too.

What do you think of the Bruce cheerleaders, Robby?

Oh I love my cheerleaders at Bruce! Y'all are so awesome.

what do you think about their new coach

Who's new coach? Sorry, I get a ton of questions and I forget what I go through. So be a little more specific for me!

I think Connor Hendrix will dominate for the Bearcats basketball team. You think the same?

Hard to tell since he's still very young and hasn't gotten many varsity minutes so only time will tell.

thoughts on Bruce's football team this year?

They lose a very strong senior class and the record doesn't truly indicate how good they were last year with all the injuries they had. But this year I'd expect more of a rebuilding season. Then again, you have Wesley Ross returning at QB so anything can happen with the athletes he has at his disposal.

Will shs soccer have any key players this year?

I think with the seniors they're losing, you can pick out any number of guys to be key players for next season.

How do you think Baldwyn football do next year with the QBs being so inexperienced?

They did pretty well last year after Corbin Scott graduated plugging Jacob Turner in. I think they'll be just fine with the guys they have. Their offense is predicated more on running the ball so the QB won't have much pressure to throw.

Thoughts on Angel Guyton from Smithville?

I loved watching Angel play this season. She's a force at the plate and super solid in the field. And to think she still has two more seasons to play at Smithville is remarkable. She's going to leave as a superstar and I'd expect some big schools to come calling to play at the next level.

What about Hunter Bullard for Booneville basketball this year

Hunter is still very young and growing into his frame but he's going to be a strong kid and a tough guy.

Starkville high soccer took a huge loss in players after this past season

They did. Huge senior class that's graduating and a lot of goal scorers are leaving as well. They'll have to rebuild next season.

Amory football next year

Been saying it for a long time on here and will continue to reiterate it: Amory will be the surprise team of the area next season.

City's new starting center is like 5''9 and 160lbs. Their quarterback can barely see over the line and their Oline overall is weak, I see many struggles for the wildcats.

You seem like a glass half empty, pessimist kind of person. I prefer to see the glass half full and I'm almost always looking on the positive side of things. Hey guess who can barely see over their offensive line? Drew Brees. And he won a Super Bowl. While they may not have the size as most teams do on the offensive line, I think the way City plays will still make them a threat in 2A next season.

What do you think about Cooper Jones from Amory?

I don't know of a Cooper Jones that plays at Amory. I know there's an Immanuel Jones and Cameron Jones.

Smithville softball had an awesome season. Any standouts?

Easy to say Lane Kennedy, Angel Guyton, Olivia Roberts, Breanna Edgeworth, or the whole senior class but the entire team of Lady Noles stood out. They were so great this past season and a joy to watch when it all.

Thoughts on swimming? Like the sport

I love swimming the sport. Always watch it when it comes on during the Olympics. It's still gaining traction here in the south.

What do you think about hamiltons starting varsity fastpitch catcher, Icie Cockerham, the 8th grader?

The fact that she's just an 8th grader should tell you everything. Plenty of room to grow and she comes from that Cockerham family that always breeds great softball players
