I couldn't remember who coach Bradley was looking at but I know the position is up in the air.

Deangelo Liggins is #1. Gotta get him the ball. He can make plays. The defense as a whole should be strong with plenty of returning tacklers. Jack Wilson has to keep getting better at QB.

He didn't mention any names specifically, but he was looking forward to the team he had.

I think Nettleton has the better athletes but South Pontotoc may have the drive to take them out. Should be a great game.
Best Players At Starkville High For Football?
Whew, not sure where to even start there. Starkville is absolutely loaded this year. Offensively, having Brady Davis at QB is huge plus Matt Fuller and Jacquez Horsley at RB plus Ralph Leonard out wide. Defensively, Maleke Bell is a monster on the line. And I've got to give a shout-out to my boy Michael Godley in the kicking game too. I don't want to jinx them, but the Jackets could very well be my team to win Class 6A this season. They're that good.
So how is oak hill gonna be in football with the new head coach? Better coach than the old one?
Hard to compare the two but I think the team is in great hands. Especially with the athletes they have coming back at OHA, I think the Raiders will do some great things this year.

what did u think about your trip to South pontotoc
I loved it. Great kids and a great facility made for a super trip. I'm really encouraged by what South Pontotoc has returning this year and their new coaching staff will have them ready for the season.
What do you think about Coach Tim Melton and his team
I really like Coach Melton and the energy he brings with the Cougars. Now the team this year is still going to be a work in progress but they're moving in the right direction.

What do you think about baldwyn's secondary this year coming up?
As long as Duke is roaming that secondary, they're going to be top-notch. They'll play a lot of rushing teams in division this year so that secondary will have to wrap up and tackle well this season.

If you had to pick between James Ray of Bruce or Perry Liles of CC as your head coach who would you pick? Why?
I'm picking both. Seriously, no way I could choose one or the other. They are two of the classiest and top-notch coaches in our area. The know the game extremely well and they also know how to build a program from the ground up. I respect them both immensely and really enjoy catching up with them whenever I can.

Aw you just had to go there! It's another toss up this year in the Skuna River Rivalry. If you want to go by the last few years though, you would go with the Wildcats and especially since this year's game is at the Boneyard I may favor City right now. Long way to go until that one!

who do you expect to be playing for the 1A state championship this year in football? Honestly.
Honestly? My pick right now is Hamilton and Lumberton. I'm pulling for another all-area State Championship but I've been really impressed with what the Lions have coming back this season. Although I'm not counting out Smithville & French Camp at all going into the year since they made it last year!
Best Running game in 2A North? Why?
Outside of Bassfield since they aren't in our area, Baldwyn is going to have the best running game in 2A North without question. 2-headed backfield of Duke and Laquintez Upshaw are going to ram it down your throat and you better be ready or you're going to get bulled over.

Best Coach in 2A North? Why?
Unfortunately there's no way I can answer this question with one answer. I honestly believe 2A North has the best collection of coaches anywhere around, especially in our area. They have some of the best experience and best minds of any coaches in any classification. Especially 4-2A. Liles, Graham, Ray, Wilson, Clark...whew, that's an impressive list of coaches.

They do lose a pretty stout senior class going into 2015 but City always reloads. They may not be up to their title-contending talent but they'll still compete for division titles and such.
