Gracious I didn't even know he was in 8th grade. He had a tremendous season this past year for the Toppers. Only good things to come for him.

What is your predictions of Houston football team's record this upcoming season?
I have no doubts they'll be better than 1-11 from last season. They were extremely young a year ago and this upcoming season I think they've got a great chance to be around 6-6 and get back to the playoffs once again. Plenty of good talent to watch.

Plus this oak hill boys team seniors and juniors team was the team to go undefeated in jr high. The juniors had never lost a basketball game until this year

Hmmm...honestly it may be football. The talent they have returning could make them a tough out as long as everyone stays healthy.
How do you think oak hill girls will plan out after hiring their boys coach Brian Middleton?
I think it will be a seamless transition. I really like Coach Middleton as the boys coach and it's a perfect fit having him coach the ladies. I admire him a lot and he gets a lot out of the kids.

So do you think that Euporas division was the toughest in 2A north? Considering you had Bruce pick to go to state and they didn't make the playoffs and now the 3 seed from that division is going to Jackson
Not a question in my mind. East Webster and Calhoun City were very tough as well. Only division that could make an argument is 1-2A with the likes of Baldwyn, Mantachie and East Union but I think that division wasn't as strong as it was in year's past.

Thoughts on the upcoming 1A state championship game, smithville vs cathedral?
Cathedral has bats. BIG bats. Just about their entire lineup can hit. Smithville will need to counter with strong pitching and just as good of a performance at the dish. Defense has to be up to the task because Cathedral is going to put tons of balls in play.
Who do you think will take home the trophy in 2a baseball ??
Taylorsville is going to be very difficult to beat but Eupora is continuing to prove the doubters wrong. We shall see!
What do you think about eupora football for next year
I think it should be their year. The offense is going to be immensely talented with Trey Pittman starting his 24th straight year at QB (or at least that's what it has seemed like!) Lamontae will be one of the top running backs in the area for next season, and you have a big tall receiver in Corson Gunn back. Defense will be the only question mark but I think next season could be the Eagles' year to break out.
What about south Pontotocs new coaching staff?
I don't know much about the rest of their coaching staff besides Coach Bradley but I really like the hire. Kids will have to work hard to play and be prepared but he gets the most out of his teams.

Boys team struggled, girls had some good moments but Baldwyn was just too tough.

I think it's a perfect fit bringing on Coach Craven. He knows the situation, he knows the team and he knows what is expected of the Bearcats going forward.

Opinion on the Falkner Football team?
They've got potential to be strong this year. Having Jase and Jeramie back is huge but I'm concerned about the defense. Sure up the D and the Eagles have potential
