Getting closer and closer to basketball season chance on Baldwyn winning it all?
They're my pick to win Class 2A this year. They have such a strong junior and senior class. Should've won it last year, and that will drive them to win it this year. I am curious to see how they'll do now that Coach McKay is no longer the head coach but Coach Craven should step in and keep the winning tradition alive.

Is Clayton Knight considered a balanced QB or is he a pocket passer?
I'd call him more of a pocket passer since he's not much of a running quarterback but he's more mobile than your typical pocket passer.
So by that your saying every QB is a big factor?
Absolutely. Especially in high school football, the team goes as the QB goes. 90% of the time in high school football when your QB plays well, your team plays well. They can have the biggest effect on the game because they control the game whether that be their ability to pass, run, direct receivers, blocking, etc. They can impact the game more than anyone else on the field since they make the calls and they have the ball in their hands more than anyone.
Is Jack going to be a big factor against Belmont?
He has the ball in his hands on every play on offense so yes, he's definitely a big factor.
Who is da best player in 1A?
In football? Right now, I'd give it to Nanih Waiya's Jamarlo Smith. That dude is a freak of nature for the Warriors. Absolute beast. Coffeeville's Antavius Moody isn't too far behind.
Opinion on QB Jack Simpson for Booneville?
I've been really impressed with Jack this year. His running ability has greatly improved since last year and he's done a phenomenal job on offense for the Blue Devils.

I think Clayton has been solid this year for the Tigers. He still has room to improve and get used to being the starter but all things considered he's had a good year thus far. Definitely needs to do better on his completion percentage.

Booneville and Belmont who you got?
I think it'll be a bounce-back game for Booneville at home against Belmont. Blue Devils have been a bit up and down this year but this will be a good way to get back on track!
Saltillo or West Point???
I'm going with West Point and it's because of their defense. I think they'll shut down Mookie and the Tiger offense and it'll be tough for Saltillo to come back from that. It should be a great game no matter what!

Opinion on Eupora vs Calhoun City?
I'm torn. I could see it go both ways. If it was at City, I'd probably side with the Wildcats but the Eagles are so tough at home and so fundamentally sound during every game that it's going to be a knock out, drag em out fight to stay unbeaten. I can't wait for this one!

I really hope he will. I have some good connections at the Clarion-Ledger and I'm going to let them know about him. He's absolutely deserving but I don't think he's gotten the state-wide recognition that he has earned.
