Thoughts on Calhoun City so far and their region?

It's going to come down to City and Eupora. Those are the two top teams that have separated themselves from the rest of the division.

do you think Starkville will beat Flornence Alabama

I do. I think they'll stay perfect but it's going to be their toughest test to date.

What are your thoughts on Baldwyn @ Saltillo? Do the Bearcats have a shot?

I think they have a shot to hang early, but the way Saltillo played on Friday at Tupelo they showed they can beat anybody. They'll wear down the Bearcats with their depth but I think Baldwyn will stay with them for a while.

Is it common for high school teams to have a bye week

It happens. Typically it's due to a team backing out of a scheduled meeting or something falls through. It's not common but it's not uncommon.

did you see the score to the Choctaw county and amory game last week? Choctaw county 76- amory 48

They played Union, not Amory. But yes, I did see. I do the End Zone every Friday night so I see every score.

How do you think French Camp will turn out this season? They did lose some games to some good 2A and 3A teams but won a tight one with Noxapater. Do you think they are strong enough to get past Nanih Waiya and Pelahatchie and maybe make it back to state?

I don't think they'll make it back to state. 1A South is loaded. But I do think they showed they have the potential to make it back to the playoffs!

I love Nanih Waiya. Picked them to be a sleeper at the start of the year and they're backing up my pick. They have a VERY strong team and 1A opponents need to watch out for them this year.

What do you think about Calhoun City's QB?

Chakel? I've always been a huge fan of his. He manages the game so well yet he is a big play waiting to happen. Plus he has tremendous experience.
