Going to Delta academy, more of family reasons. But, what should ca football do without him?

Gotcha, that's too bad. I know how much the team meant to him when he took over for Gerry Winters. I'm not sure what they'll do without him but the seniors will have to really step up to lead this team next year.

What do you predict will happen between Hamilton and smithville softball teams during the north half match up?

I would side with Smithville to take the series but again you never can doubt Hamilton and the way they've risen to the occasion to make it to where they are in the postseason.

He's leaving Calhoun Academy? I hadn't heard that. Where's he going?

What do you think about Starkville Academy football next year?

I'd expect them to be in the same position they were in last year: playing for a State Championship. They do lose A TON up front and guys like Blake Slaughter, Drew Harrell, Ben Moorehead. But Houston Clark is back at QB and Noah Heflin will take on more of a role as the key tailback. Plus a new head coach that I think is excited to take over this team makes me think they'll be tough against next year.

What do u think of booneville's basketball next year?

I'd expect the girls to once again be in position to play for a State Championship. Three seniors graduating and granted those are important seniors, they're still super young.
I expect the boys to break out this next year with just one senior graduating. That junior class coming up has a lot to prove after last season.

Do you think Eupora will come back and win the second game against Hatley in baseball Thursday night?

I do. Those seniors won't lose what could be their final game at home during the playoffs. I'd expect to see Game 3 on Friday at Hatley.

Do you feel like all five seniors stepped up this year for Baldwyn in baseball?

I think they all did in their own way. Some had the big stats, others were there for leadership and brought other attributes to the table.

Paul is a starter

Yeah, that's my point. Even as a starter he still needs more and more reps to get experience.

Hamilton's 8th grade c/o 2019 will be unstoppable when they are juniors/seniors possibly even sophomores

Yeah they're going to be good when they continue to grow up and get older!

What do you think about Baldwyn baseballs senior class leaving this year?

It's a pretty big loss. Ryan Wesson was a huge part of the team being their ace on the mound so losing him is big but losing Justin Lominick and Jacob Turner hurts as well.

Best junior varsity baseball player for Amory High School

We don't cover JV sports because we focus our attention on varsity action so it's big motivation for those in JV to make it to the varsity level to get our coverage!

Any upcoming 8th grade hamilton softball players?

The youth power at Hamilton always will be strong so yeah you could pick out just about any 8th graders that get playing time for the Lady Lions as upcoming ones to watch.

What do you think about Friday's north half smithville vs. Hamilton game?

Smithville is favored and for good reason but Hamilton will make that series a good one since it's such a great softball rivalry. Going to come down to whether or not Hamilton can manufacture runs. If not, the Lady Noles will be tough to beat.

What do you know about Mooreville softball?

They're 1 series win away from advancing to the 3A State Championship! I'm looking forward to seeing their series with South Pontotoc. That's a good little rivalry in Class 3A. Should be very fun to watch.

Paul Tutor from Bruce Football. Dude plays tight end. He's gonna be a junior this upcoming fall for the Trojans. What kind of success do you see him having?

Paul has good size and will still get bigger as the season goes on but it's all about getting reps for Paul for this upcoming season.

Do you think Hamilton has a chance VS Smithville in north half

Absolutely they have a chance, but it won't be easy. Smithville has been darn near unstoppable in the playoffs thus far and the Noles won all 3 games against the Lady Lions in the regular season but anything can happen in the postseason!

How is eupora football going to do next year?

I think you'll see a transitional season for Eupora next year. For one, they'll have a new head coach in Stephen Edwards. I've heard nothing but good things about him but he loses such an incredible senior class. I'd still expect them to be in the race for the playoffs though!
