How do you think Pontotoc Warrior Baseball's 2016 season will go?
They lose a huge senior class so there will be some growing pains going into next season but the juniors that will be seniors are a strong group that's returning so Pontotoc will be in great hands next season. Ashton Waldrop and Ross Montgomery are the guys to watch.
Do you think any of the Amory baseball seniors can play in college?
Yes of course. In fact, I know Jon David Poss is playing at Northeast and I'd imagine Cody Pate will get a chance to play somewhere if he hasn't already!

I would expect Chance Lindsey and Jaylon Jernighan to have huge seasons. Those two are the biggest pieces returning for the Tigers in football next season.

Yeah not all of Eupora are that arrogant as the person who just asked that question. I go to Eupora and I agree that East Webster played really good in every sport and they deserve it. We all should be proud of our county. Eupora and East Webster both.
Exactly. It really is a team/family effort in Webster County. Yeah, the Eagles and Wolverines are divided on the playing surfaces but when the teams are playing against others you should all cheer for one another!
Eupora has NOT lost respect for you.? Maybe some immature kid doesn't like you because you're supporting East Webster's success, only because they're jealous. I go to Eupora, but EW did GREAT and they deserve to be proud! I'm even proud of them!!

Hahah seriously?? Because I've been singing the praises of East Webster and enjoying their success? That's a pretty awful reason to lose respect for me (I'm assuming here but I assume I'm right.) Here's the thing and what people need to realize: I have favorites. And guess what: that's everyone. My entire viewing area is my favorite. Doesn't matter who you are. I don't like one team or school more or less. I cheer and root on all our area teams and players because I love seeing our teams that we cover have success. If you lose respect for me because of that, then that is your opinion. I can't change that. If Eupora was in East Webster's position, I would be the exact same way.

I would expect they build on what they did this past season and they'll be VERY good this upcoming season.

Football will have another shot at the 6A State Title. Really depends on whether or not they can find a QB to replace Brady Davis. Boys basketball could repeat. Those would be the two best bets to win a State Title for the Jackets.

I think the future is very bright for them. Austin Grubbs and Drake Wallace have talent along with Ryan Morgan and Hunter Lockhart. It was tough that they had to run into Houston since the Toppers were loaded but they'll be right back in that position again next season!

I assume you're talking baseball, and absolutely they can. Someone HAS to beat Taylorsville. It's about time the Tartars are knocked off their pedestal in 2A. East Webster is definitely the team to do it with the style of play they bring to the table!
