Right now it looks like East Marion will give them a run for their money again. Lake is unbeaten but haven't played anyone difficult yet. Taylorsville is always in the discussion as well.

Who is the contending 2A team in the southern part this year?

Bassfield, Bassfield, and then Bassfield. But seriously, Bassfield.

In 2A North? City and West Bolivar would be the two that stand out. Walnut needs to be a team to watch as well. In the 2A title if y'all make it? It'll be Bassfield.

I said Calhoun City/Bassfield at the start of the season and I'm not gonna go away from that. I still feel like the best team in 2A North will be City and we all know how good the Jackets are in 2A South. If that is the 2A Title game, I'd still be inclined to take Bassfield. But if I know Perry Liles, he's gonna have a gameplan ready for all that speed they have for that game.

That's a tough one to answer. The logical answer would be Bassfield with their rushing attack, but they don't have a passing game at all. I like a balanced offense, so I would have to say Bruce right now with Jay Johnson and Donta Armstrong. But Baldwyn's offense is up there too. So is Eupora and Calhoun City. Very hard to choose.

Josh Williams from Aberdeen. Throws one of the best deep balls in the area.

Heritage Academy Vs Leake Academy, and then Starkville Academy. What's your prediction on these games?

Gotta win the next two. I think they can take out both, but hat loss to Pillow really makes the playoff race a bit more interesting now.

That's a big blow. We shall see.

That'll help. But they're gonna have to stop Winona's rushing attack to have a shot.

Eupora or okolona?

I like Eupora but Okolona has had time to prepare and they have some good momentum going right now so don't doubt the Chieftains.

I'd be inclined to go Shea Kemp since he's a senior but it's hard to choose.

I think any player from Mississippi who sets their mind to it can make it at the next level after high school. I don't think you are any different, Kedric. Keep at it. I'd suggest giving JUCO a shot and see where you can go after that.
