I think Wesley Ross is really underestimated on the mound. I believe he can be the best pitcher in 2A when he's on his best game.
Oh I agree. When Wesley is on, he's on. He's got some nasty stuff and his fastball is up there with the best in the area when he has it rolling.

What do you think of Tyler hood playing football at icc?
I haven't had a chance to see him out there playing at ICC but I know with his work ethic and tenacity he can do anything at any level.

Still so young but she's got great talent for being just an 8th grader. She's pretty good on the circle too. Super bright future.

Bruce football and baseball
Fisher Ray is a guy that comes to mind for both football and baseball. He's got that natural talent you look for in both sports. Broc Peden is another young one to watch out for in baseball. Walt Maddox is another young guy in football too to keep an eye on.

who do you see stepping up next year for Hatley softball
I'd expect Ashton Wright to have to step up huge in her final year. She destroyed the ball this year. She'll have a lot of the weight on her shoulders with the senior talent that's graduating. Jules Rimmer is another to watch. She will be called upon to take on more pitching next year I'd imagine.
What about Trey Pittman as the best 2A pitcher?
My boy Trey is wayy up there too. It's really hard to pick the best pitcher in 2A baseball. Ryan stood out since that was the last one I saw. I'm not sure I could choose between him and Trey.
Best 1A softball pitcher
I've heard of this 8th grader up in Biggersville that has been dominant this season but she's struggled against Smithville but the Noles are a juggernaut this year. With that said, I'll say Morgan Barrett of Smithville is the best 1A Softball pitcher.

Best mooreville basketball player?
I don't like singling out one player, much rather a group of guys. With that being said, the senior class of Seay, Pearce and Fancher were huge for this team. But 2 years from now, I think the Troopers could be one of the best 3A teams in the state of they keep that sophomore group of players together. They're a force.
Best 2A pitcher in Mississippi?
I think Ryan Wesson proved he was the best pitcher in 2A this year. He's going to be tremendous when he gets to play at Northeast next season. He has tremendous potential.
What do you think of the EW and east Union matchup?
I think it's going to come down to whether or not EU's pitchers can step up. EW showed at the end of the Baldwyn series they could bring it at the plate. Now the Urchins don't have the strongest pitching staff outside of Bell and Roaton so those two guys will be key in the series. I still think it's EW's series to lose though.
Hatley and Eupora for 3rd round of baseball playoffs next week.. Your thoughts?
Expect a whole lot of runs. These are two power hitting teams up and down the lineup. It may come down to defense as to who will win this series honestly. The team that makes the least mistakes in the field should come out victorious.

Baldwyn at East Webster game 3 who you got?
I remember saying that if EW got Game 2 at Baldwyn then they were going to get game 3 and sure enough they did. That was a great series. Baldwyn deserves a ton of credit for pushing the Wolverines to the edge.
What are some Calhoun city baseball players to watch for next year?
I think Jaalen Thomas and Jojo Gray have proven they've got some skills that can translate into being big time ball players. It's a bummer City fell to Hatley but they really had a great season!

I really want to see a Game 3 back at EW because that would be a tremendous match-up so I'm going to pick the Wolverines but if Baldwyn can get a strong pitching performance in game 2 like they did in Game 1 then all bets are off.
