I'd expect Pontotoc to maybe look a bit crisper and sharper since they've had one year under coach brown but I think South will surprise some people this year with how well they will play under coach Bradley.

Will region 4-2A produce a state championship in any of the 3 big sports this year?

That's a really good question. I think Bruce & Eupora will be super strong in baseball with all of the returning talent they have so I'd say baseball may be the best chance for 4-2A plus East Webster has a lot back too. Calhoun City I think has a great shot again in basketball but football will be tough since Bassfield will not be easy to get by in the State Title.

How do you think French Camp Academy will do in football this year?

I think they'll do well again. Obviously it will be a transitional season with so many seniors lost but they had plenty behind the likes of Jesse Hosket and Co. so they should compete for a playoff birth once again + maybe more.

I think it will be a transitional season. I like where Coach Seago is taking them but they lost one of their best senior classes ever last year and this season they're working in a new offense. I still think playoffs is possible and I'm hoping a winning season as well.

Baldwyn is still in their division and until that changes I don't see the Mustangs winning that region. Bearcats are just way too tough and reload every year.

I think they'll do better than people think. Coach Collums knows what he's doing and he has plenty of talented guys returning like Neil Knight and Hasten McKissick, etc. Playoffs definitely, after that it's up in the air.

Godley is that you? They're definitely a favorite of mine in 6A. It's just whether or not they can put all the new pieces together to go all the way.

No question they're going for a playoff birth. Jay Johnson will be a big part of their run to the postseason. I know they lost a lot of pieces off of last year's team but the Trojans just reload every year. I expect for them to compete for the division title again.
