Whats do you think hurt Columbus High this year and prevented them from reaching the playoffs

Simply put: consistency. I saw a different Columbus team every single game. You see the offense go wild against Clinton, and then the next game they can't beat lowly Northwest Rankin. That team was talented enough to make it to the playoffs. But they weren't consistent enough to get there. Nearly beating Warren Central last week showed they were definitely good enough.

Thought on the AAA Division 2 playoffs? Mag Hts vs. Oak Forest and Heritage Academy vs. Lamar?

I really like Magnolia Heights right now and the way they're playing. I'm concerned with Heritage. I thought they were putting it all together but they've really struggled as of late. Lamar has been on their game this year so it'll be tough for the Patriots to get past them on the road. I still have faith we could see a rematch in Clinton for the AAA-2 title game.

I mean, it's just WAY too tough right now. 4A North could be the most competitive, up in the air half of the playoff bracket in the state right now.

I would tend to say the home team has the better chance winning but this game is so even in so many ways. I love both teams.

Aeris Williams. He could start and play for MSU right now at tailback with his speed and power. Not too far behind, I think Marcus Robinson or James Gilleylen from Tupelo have a really great chance to be successful on the next level early.

What do you think hurt oak hill in the later games?

Injuries. Plain and simple. OHA was banged up everywhere. When they were healthy, they beat Indianola. That's how good they were when at 100%

how likley is falkners chance at beating SBS?

I think it's better than most people think. Falkner has to stay balanced to beat SBS and the defense NEEDS to slow down the Jaguars rushing attack.

Haha you're just trying to make me pick who will win! I really like both teams way too much to pick a side. I know that sounds political that I'm not taking one or the other but I really am torn. Help me decide!!

It's gonna be tough for Smithville to get past Coffeeville with the way they've been playing to get to Jackson. If they can beat the Pirates, I agree Stringer will be the team from 1A south. If so, I don't know how the Noles will slow down Tevin Moore. He's darn near unstoppable.

Right now, I'm siding with the Seminoles. But Shaw's athletes could make things difficult on Smithville. Their offense will have to play well and be methodical on offense. Drew, Neil, and Tyler will have to run right at that Hawks' defense and beat them in the trenches to win. You can't beat them running side to side, go north and south on them and hit them in the mouth.

They'll be favored to win but it will not be easy. East Union is gonna be a difficult team to beat following their win over HW Byers. It can go either way!

I think Louisville is the better team, but this game will not be a blowout like most think. Water Valley is a very disciplined and well-coached team. They will give the Cats a fight. This will be the game that more than likely I will be covering so I can't wait to see what happens!

What you think about jarquis Thornton from Houston?

Jarquis is right up there. He's not far behind Johnta at all. I assume he's Chris' little brother? If so he's got the right blood lines.
