Is there anything you would like me to tell TJ? He's one of my good friends.

Work hard in the offseason. Use the struggles of this past season to your advantage. You've got the tools to be a very good running back. Don't let anyone else to you otherwise. You can tell him that from me!

How hard do you think next year will be for Amory? And who do you expect to step up that isn't JD?

I think it'll be an easier year than this past season. I think the first year under a new head coach is always difficult, especially when you lose your starting QB to a season-long injury. TJ Fields is another guy that will really need to step up next season. He's got great potential as a tailback so he needs to continue to improve to be that feature back next to JDP.

What is the future like for the Bruce Trojans? Who do you expect to step up?

The future is very bright for the Trojans, especially next season. With Jay Johnson and Pat Gardner still in the fold, the team as a whole will be very good next year. The only question will be who plays at QB. I know Cameron Clarke got a couple snaps as a frosh so maybe he's the next guy up for the Trojans.

How was Jeremy Wilkes' season at North pontotoc? Never got the chance to see him play but heard a few things about him

I thought Jeremy had a real solid season. All the attention was given to the passing attack at NP and for good reason. But their rushing game especially with Jeremy Wilks was impressive this season. His power and speed was something I wasn't expecting to see out of him. Tough, hard-nosed back. Hope someone takes a chance on him at the JUCO level because he could have a future.

Did you play any sports in school??

I did indeed. Played basketball since I was 6. Played high school ball in Indiana until my senior year. Ran cross country as well. Never played football for my school but I always was around it in some sort of capacity.

Do you think losing their quaterback jon david poss played a big factor in their season

Oh absolutely. That was the #1 reason why Amory struggled. JDP returning was something the Panthers could rest their hat on after Coach Hammond departing and losing him in Game 1 really hurt them the rest of the season. I can't wait to see Jon David back on the field next year.

If you could interview any athlete who would it be and why?

Wow any athlete? Living or dead? If so, I think I would have to choose Jesse Owens. He broke the color barrier at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany during the height of Nazi rule under Hitler. The Aryan race was supposed to be superior in every way imaginable and little ol' Jesse Owens from the United States defied the odds as an African American and won the 100 and 200m, 4x100, and long jump Gold. I would love to hear what he had to go through during those times of prejudice and how he dealt with it all. I find his whole journey fascinating from running at Ohio State University to being a Olympian.

what do you think about Fred Garth

I thought he was going to have a breakout season but it was a tough one as a whole for Amory including Fred. He's definitely got the talent and skills to make it somewhere after high school. Hopefully a JUCO will take a chance on him.
