how do you think that the amory vb team will do this year losing so many seniors?
I think it will be sort of like the softball team from a season ago. They'll have to undergo a rebuilding phase with no seniors and losing so much talent from last year but I think they will still be competitive.
What do you think about Starkville Academy football for this year?
I think this is SA's year. They've got so many great players coming back and plenty of size inside. But with Cathedral, Greenville St. Joe's and St Aloysius jumping into MAIS AAA, I think they will have some new competition to contend with if they make it all the way.

How do you picture 4-2a turning out this year?
It's truly a toss-up. You could have any team finish 1 through 6 honestly. Right now though, I'd put East Webster, Winona and Calhoun City as the three teams that have the best chance at winning the division. After that, it's anyone's best guess. All I know is there will be 2 teams left out of the playoffs that will be very, very talented.

Do you think Baldwyn can beat saltillo
It will be tough. Truly it will depend on how Baldwyn handles the 3rd and 4th quarters. Saltillo has the numbers and depth on Baldwyn, which can wear down on a team late in games. I think they can beat Saltillo but it won't be easy.

Can Bruce's football team make a run this year?
Absolutely. You saw them make a run last year. It really depends on the match-ups they will have in the playoffs and if they're hitting their stride at the right time.
What do you think about Amory softball this year? And senior #25 Erin Griffith?
I like Erin a lot. I'd expect her to lead the way in many different fashions this season. And Amory as a whole I think is going to have a big season.

Do you think that Amory Softball will make it back to state and win it?
The State Title still goes through Newton County right now so that's the team they'll have to beat to win it all but I think they have a great chance to come out of 4A North and possibly get to Ridgeland to play for the Title.

You think Bruce will have a good season in football this year?
I do. I think they've got something to prove following last year's tough year during the regular season. They're big up front but it will really come down to staying healthy. They don't have as many athletes as a season ago but I think they're more determined.

I don't really like to single out a "best" player when it comes to this but I think you could make an argument for any of the juniors coming up to be a top player to watch!

Well, truly the only way to go is up for City after last year. And I think they'll improve and be more competitive next season!

I think they will have a big time season. Zero seniors from 2014 and they came on strong towards the end of the year so I think we'll see the Lady Panthers have a big year.

Never really been a fan. A lot of my friends are obsessed with it and I just never got into the theatrics of it. Was too fake for me.
Who to watch in 2A softball in the north ?
Definitely Eupora and East Webster. EW graduates a super talented senior class but have plenty behind them returning and Eupora was extremely young last year and now they're a year older.
Who do you think will catch and play short stop for Hatley softball this year??
I'd say I would leave that decision up to the coach on that front!

Trust me, in my experience it usually is. And when I ask well if it's not then reveal yourself, I don't hear back. I'm not saying that's a problem, just letting everyone know it's okay to ask questions about yourself and tag your name to it!
Who do you think will do the best in the MCT for basketball.
Aberdeen for boys, there's no question there. For girls, it's really a toss-up. I could see Hatley being good this year but Hamilton and Aberdeen could be in that discussion as well.

I think they'll be good. Moving up to 3A will be a new challenge and they'll have to deal with Nettleton, which could make for a good rivalry. Losing those seniors though will really hurt.

How do you think the shs volleyball team will turn out this year?
I think they'll still be strong. Losing Khris will hurt a lot since she did was so valuable. But there's some good pieces returning for the Lady Jackets so they'll be good again this season.

Definitely. I think their first six games they have a chance to be at .500 and then into division play they will have to scrap and claw to get a couple more wins.

Thoughts on Bruce baseball now that they have taken in a new head coach?
I'm in wait and see mode with Bruce baseball. I think this is their year to really make a splash in 2A but we'll see what they do with a new head coach.
How will New Hope baseball do this year?
That's a good question. I think time will tell. Losing Josh Stillman is going to hurt the most. Being able to count on a guy that can go out there and throw a complete game and keep the other team from scoring more than 2 runs was such a luxury they had a year ago. I think they've got plenty of talented players back but they've got to replace Peyton Lane, Wells Davis and Sam Taylor. Three other MAJOR pieces.
