It is, but in recent years this ruling has been laxed in certain countries. Here is the result of a quick wiki search.

In a relationship are you more into looks, personality or both?

I like men who are pleasing to look at. But personality triumphs all. It is even more irritating to be confronted by a decent looking person with a horrible personality.

Hey I don't really know what Songkran is about but most of my gay friends are working out hard to prepare for it. Why is this so? Isn't it a normal thai culture/custom thing?

Songkran is actually a cultural festival where the Thais celebrate their new year. One of the traditions involve pouring water, which symbolises the cleansing of sin.
Today, certain streets of Bangkok are closed off and everyone there throws water at anyone. Water guns, firehoses, buckets of water, and some throw flour in the mix because that's how you make bread people.
For some reason, this is the perfect excuse for gay men to take off their tops and pretend to be children again, while at the same time show off their masculinity (bodies). There are circuit parties all across Bangkok and gay men from all over the world will flock down for a weekend of sin.
I went once, and I did not enjoy it at all. I would describe it as an excuse for gay men to 'test their market' with the overall goal of seeking approval and attention, quantified by how many cocks are offered to them every night.
Every effort put into these parties comes together into one big conclusion; how many 'hot boys' can you stuff into a space and how many cocks can you get out of it?
You can say it is simply a manner of personal preference, considering the popularity of these parties, and the fact that I don't find any of this sort of activity fun. The temporal benefit of bagging a hot guy (or many hot guys), on a superficial level, feels a lot like an unproductive waste of time for the long term.
At the end of the day, what do you have to show? That you slept with a hot person? And that makes you happy?

They malays really respects people who deserves to be respected like they will remember things from 10 yrs. Is your family respected by some societies haha because I read your father was respected

My father carries the family name. I do not know legitimately how wide his reach was, but when I was growing up, it was relatively easy to get around because we were the 'Khalid family'. I had an exciting childhood.
I think having a big paternal family and his line of work were the reasons. I don't know about his influence of recent time. I don't rely on any of that influence.

In a relationship do you prefer being protected or protecting someone?

Protecting. They say I'm possessive. Turns out the one I'm protecting, needed to be protected from me.

Would you rather date a guy who has many flabs, or a guy who is skin and bones.

Which one has better hygiene?

Would you rather date a guy with nice chest but no abs or flat chest but yum abs?

I have no preference for either.

I broke up with my ex of four years who cheated on me. Its been a year and Im still not completely moved on. What can I do?

Keep at it. Keep moving on.

I like how you extract info and capture the gist of the stuff you share on facebook. Ideal for me people who are lazy to tap on the link like me

Just doing my bit to make things easier for my friends. I'm happy many have also adopted the same practice the past year.

How to you meet other gay guys? I'm a gay guy myself and i recently came out to a few friends.. I just dk where to start

Social media.

Compliment me now

I remember when we first met just last month. One of the most humid nights of March. You had to leave work and pretend to be going somewhere else, whereas I, had to make an excuse to leave work early so that I could shower before meeting you.
I remember your gait as you walked towards me, the headlights of a taxi behind you throwing your long shadow all across the floor. Dramatic, as drama could get.
First meet ups are always big indicators for me. It is a period of intensive observation. I watched your hands move as you spoke, listened to the rise and fall of your voice and more importantly, observed the ease of bonding together. I must say, three hours went by effortlessly.
We ended the night lightly holding each other's hands. Fingers, more like. It was a quiet stroll through one of the busiest and brightest roads in Singapore -- Little India. We had our own private bubble, and all that exists is you and I. A pretty face may last a year or two, but a warm heart is permanent.

Which do you think is more upsetting? Parallel lines that have so much in common but never meet, or any other pair of lines that meet once but drift apart forever.

The latter.
Parallel lines never meet, and I think there's benefit in ignorance. You won't feel for something that, as far as you are concerned, doesn't exist.
To have met another almost-perfect person once, but to separated forever, I think that's more torturous. A possibility now exists for you, but you cannot have it. Out of nowhere, you suddenly have a want.
