Thanks for ya help =)

I'm not gonna lie. It can be tough. But whatever it is always know your situation is not unique in the whole scheme of things. We survive.

Hey you look like someone I could really talk to, I'm just wondering if you came across a situation where you fell for someone you can't have. What do you do?

Be emotionally depressed. Then be incredibly productive with work. Then go home exhausted and frustrated. Repeat cycle. Eventually you move on. Or most of the time.

what is your fav filter on VSCO? and how do you usually edit them? hehe

I don't have a fav one, I more often than not have the look in my head already when I shoot, then apply the filter that matches as closely as possible to my vision and tweak. Then maybe a bit of a stylised touch like vignette and highlight save to the max to have that very flat faded look.
Can't really mass apply filters on different sceneries and light cause it's really dependent on the colors in your photograph, and the light quality.

just wondering about the photos on your twitter, what do you take your photos with and what software/app do you edit them with? they're so pretty! i think you're really talented!

Thank you.
iPhone 6+ and VSCO.
Only some of the shots are DSLR but I think those ones are pretty obvious.

What exactly do you do in the media industry? Is the pay really that low? Ps media student here

Commercial photographer in training. Been here close to three years, but my breadth of experience goes about a decade. It's really company-specific, so you'll get a different bag of treats depending on your luck.
My basic is honest shit, actually, so the reliance on incentives, which is pretty good if it happens, up to an extra thousand. I have supplementary income from elsewhere so that's how I've been floating. Just recently with the market downturn and all (lack of jobs) we've been on a bad streak of no incentives, and add that with slow paying clients from outside (average three months delay), it's a recipe for disaster once the rhythm is disrupted.
I'll tell you, it's really what kind of life you want to lead. My friends who've been with me since the start, some I even taught, are doing well as freelancers, hitting on average 4-5k. But their lives are busy, packed, haphazard. Not quite different than mine, but I have the peace of mind of a regular income plus medical benefits and CPF. It's really what kind of life you want to build, what's more important to you and all.
I guess today's shock really was more about me looking at my wealth of experience, hours I work, how many hats I seem to be wearing and a general over-dependence on me, for the kind of money that comes in. Not worth the hassle. There are better places out there.
I'll tell you though, this will be a common theme in media. Plenty of low ballers, long hours, questionable pay grade, and boredom. One shouldn't expect a breezy life in media. I'm not averse to hard work. That's been my whole life. But the question here is what do you have to show for it at the end of the day? An empty savings account, drowning in a pile of bills, having to think many times just to take a break at a neighboring country, while your friends in other industries also do hard work but are paid much better? These are questions you'll ask yourself time and time again as you pave your way in the industry. Manage your expectations.

Just don't answer their question. The more you don't want people to ask or know, the more they will ask and want to know. That's just how irritating people can be.

Should I answer this or no
