Sure. It's actually quite difficult for me to discuss, or open up to a Friend about my personal problems, even if we're very close. I never quite liked doing that... I feel it's bothersome. I don't like someone to take some time out of their Iives to worry or think about me. It's selfish, obviously.
Even so, I do have certain interests that I enjoy talking about at length, but very few people can relate to it. Funny enough, the people I find where I can have these deep conversations and total exploration of my psyche are with acquaintances, strangers... people I barely or never have any contact with. It's funny how I can trust them more than I can trust the people immediately around me. Taxi drivers, the Makcik at the market, random people I'll forget by the end of the day.
How did it come to this? I don't know. Maybe somewhere along the way in life I was told, or learned, that opening up about yourself is a terrible mistake. People will use that shit against you. Your lover will use it against you. And if you can't protect yourself, who will?
