It's a small community. News travels fast. So does gossip. Whenever someone suddenly leaves 'the scene', it's usually a few reasons: drugs, jail, STDs or recently got attached. This guy I dated, as I discovered later, was notorious for being a cheat. I saw through his facade, that's why I ended it. Even called him out on it. We never had penetrative sex. Who knows what I could have narrowly missed.
The other guy simply wanted to rush in. He wasn't happy that I never said I loved him outright. Which is true... because I was still questioning if I really did. I hindsight, I wasn't.

Nothing. All that has ever happened in my past has made me into who I am today, both good and bad experience. They are all lessons.

I used to think that way. I'll tell you though... at age of 27, you'll still feel no different than if you were 22.
Once you hit 21 is when the government starts sending you letters to pay for your past loans. But see, it's all about managing. And I've come to love managing my finances. The process itself is very simple.
The second point is a matter of your choice of employment. I knew I cannot work in a corporate environment, so I didn't. I did once, within a month or two, my spirit died. So I stuck with a workplace that's big enough for constant big jobs, yet small enough for me to have a say in things and take hold of crucial responsibilities. You make your job.
Also, trust me, you don't lose anything by growing out of partying. Certain things come with age. The phase comes, and when it's time to let it go, you let it go and move forward. I cannot tell you how eager I am to hit my 30s. Some opportunities open up with age. It's a fact. 30s, you're still young and vibrant if you have the right mindset and regularly active. You have spending power. You don't have to scrape for money to get a drink in a club. You can spend on yourself more. It's liberating.
I like being an adult. Really.

Not that I'm aware of. Look around me. I've got a good job, surrounded by good people. I have not once been denied an opportunity because of my skin. What I used to have a problem with were cultural or language differences, but these are obstacles not tied to the color of one's skin. It's simply a matter of learning.
