I meant normal as in less horny fans haha

Oh! Haha. Who wants to flirt with an older man, right? This one bites.

Do you think you spent a lot of time alone because you were afraid to talk to other people ?

Not really. I just like being alone.

By far, you have the highest amount of normal askers I've ever seen

I am quite certain it is just a couple of people with many questions.
My younger friends are the ones with many fans.

Do you think mumbling and stuttering made you a better writer ?

Actually, I think it's because I spend a lot of time alone writing, I rarely ever spoke.

If you could, would you change your voice to sound more like Benjamin Kheng's? Do you think your voice sounds clear and committed like his ?

Maybe, maybe not. I mumble and stutter a lot in real life.

At the risk of sedition, do you think the speed in which The Singapore government is welcoming foreign workers is too fast? Do you think these waves of immigration are a threat to the Singapore identity ?

I would actually agree. I feel the government made an oversight, and overestimated our infrastructure. Are there enough homes for these people? Are the support groups for Foreign Workers sufficient and efficient enough to handle the influx? Do we have enough trains, buses and roads? Sadly, sometimes we weren't ready.
In regards to Singapore identity, I believe not. We like to think we have an identity, but we don't realize our identity exists only as far back as 50 years ago. Do we identify with the 'Singapore identity' before Lee Kuan Yew? No, it isn't in our sphere of consciousness. Our current identity is still a work of progress.
I think Singapore should face reality and accept these foreign workers into the Singapore identity. Of course, it has to be mutual. After all, foreign workers have been key to the development of our nation ever since the Raffles era. The Banglas, for example, have many untold stories that would be beneficial to be shared to the larger population. They are part of the Singapore story.

Do you like the sound of Benjamin Kheng's voice when he talks ? have you seen his 'remote sensing' video ?

He has a voice that is clear and committed. I like that. No, I haven't seen that video.

What do you like best about Peranakan history and culture ?

I think it's interesting to read up on how the mainland Chinese assimilated into the local culture of the Malaya peninsula. It seemed like an exciting time.
My mom cooks Peranakan cuisine at home once in a while and she's a good cook, so there's probably some sort of emotional connection there. Asam Laksa, which I initially thought was a Kuching dish, is one of my dad's favourites. Recently I've been taking a look at the ingredients for local food, and a friend of mine was telling me which culture tends to use what spices, for example. A dish, in a cultural sense, leaves a lot of clues of a culture's past. This goes in line with my interest in history.
When I was younger some of my family friends were Peranakan, and they would don some these beautiful kebayas for functions. I didn't really appreciate it then, but now that I'm older, it's quite fascinating. I'm still learning every now and then, and I'm opening up to learning about the cultures in our region.

If you weren't Malay, would you prefer to be pure Chinese or Peranakan ?

I would probably enjoy being Peranakan. I think their history and culture is beautiful.

How frequently did you need to go home because you shit your pants ? What did you think during your car ride while sitting in soiled clothes ?

This is as good as 20 years ago. I don't recall everything.

Do you think you disliked Songkran as an experience because it is a bunch of people trying to be high profile ?

Many factors, but you're in the right ballpark.

When you shit your pants in primary school did you have to go home ? Or did your parents send an extra pair of clothes with you? What things made you shit your pants ?

I had a weak bowel, and very shy in the toilet. I was always afraid to reveal myself anywhere but home.
Usually when this happens, I call my parents and they send a driver to pick me home.

How have your interests and hobbies changed since you were 14? How have they stayed the same?

Frankly, not by a lot. When I was 14, I was already drawing, writing, telling stories and building plastic models of WWII tanks. I was 15 when I decided I should be in film. I still enjoy writing, telling stories, history and building things. Hasn't changed a bit.
I like to believe your talent or interest is largely inherent, and you should take cues of your interests of you as a child. It would tell you a lot about what your passions are, which you can then take into adult life and turn it into your strength. I have a few friends who are happy with their careers now because they listened to their inner child.
