When are you cutting your hair?

It has been awfully difficult to find time for it. Thankfully I might have time tomorrow afternoon.

We don't talk anymore, but I just wanted to drop by and say that I'm really happy and proud of how far you've come (:

Thank you for having been there before. :)

What are you doing in the jungle?

That's the smoking area outside the domes in Gardens by the Bay. The slight shore meets with the Singapore river. Extremely beautiful place.

When was the last time you saw your dad?

I think it was last month. He regularly returns for a weekend.

Ever thought of getting your own bachelor's pad someday? If so where?

No. I have a perfectly functional fully-paid home in Yishun. That is enough.

is your Dad popular in Malaysia

He had his audience. It was the nature of his work. As a kid I watched him give speeches, sorting paperwork in his office and and manage people. He had himself surrounded with a good company of men.
As a kid, you kinda knew your dad was a somebody, but as an adult I never bothered to find out the magnitude of it. I can't really explain why. At a certain point of time I decided that I did not want to ride on my dad's successes, and instead make my own. I knew he would give me the world the minute I asked for it. That would spoil me. I refrained from asking him for anything; I decided my own career path. I decided how I wanted to live my teenage and young adult years. I never once asked him for life advice. I wanted to make it on my own. You can say I was a person of pride from the very start.
I would say my dad is a very different man now. I remember him to have had very crude humor in private, and would easily lampoon his friends just for fun. I heard he was decisive and blunt, professionally. These days I don't see that fire anymore. At one point of time both my parents went religious, and everything changed.
He's living a quieter life now in KL, but still in the same line of work, in a similar position but at a smaller scale. I, too, never bothered finding out anything more about it.

Fave car make? Audi?

I don't particularly enjoy automobiles. I'm probably okay with a normal Toyota van. Always wanted one.

What are you doing now so fast answer?

Having a smoke by the mouth of the Singapore river on my lunch break.

Can I call you Mr Khalid?

I grew up hearing that all the time when my dad's staff greeted him as he made his rounds at work.
Funny when people call me Mr. Khalid these days when I check in on reservations.

Thought you hate it when people call political figures 'Sir' ? Hypocrite.

I'd call LKY 'Sir' and you're gonna live with that.

What's your opinion when someone (Singaporean) hates LKY so much, labelling him as a comunist/dictator. I know everyone has their own opinion, but isnt it too much, considering what he has done for SG ?

I wouldn't bother doing anything about it. I understand the gripes some people have with him, whether it's simply because of teenage idealism, or that it's 'cool' to hate on such a high authoritative figure, or other more legit, critical reasons. In some ways I understand LKY's position. He wanted to build something in his vision, and like many men who have had strong desires to realize a dream, you sometimes had to do the lesser of two evils. You had to rule with a heavy hand, and be bold in your approach. You had to make certain things happen your way. It is easy for someone who has never met someone with similar traits as LKY misjudge his decisions. For some reason I empathize with all of that.
I personally believe whatever he did, he did it with the best interest of his countrymen at heart. He may have gotten certain things wrong, and had to deal with the cards he had in hand - at that point of time - but he also got a lot of things right. He, and his team, built the very foundation that now allows us to liberally criticize him. My opinions of LKY tend to be highly unpopular with my more liberal, activist friends, I too understand that. I admire his character, his charm and wisdom. I share a few of his views and opinions about certain things in general, politically correct or not.
LKY wouldn't have been bothered with the petty noise any random person has of him. I believe there's no need for me to 'convince' another who does not share my views of LKY. The man is gone, and all these do not matter anymore, as far as he is concerned.

Can it be 16 and above instead for wavehouse?

It is up to the rules of the premises. Furthermore it would be difficult considering we have laws against alcohol for minors.

What would you do if a guy take off underwear in front of you to show you?

Ask if he's the same guy asking the same question to everyone

I saw your crotch grab video! Oh my, were you hard?

No. I tend to have this habit of grabbing my crotch. I gotta keep checking if it's still there.
