oh and btw, thanks for understanding hahah, and by no means I will not be civil and respectful. Simply put, I'm not like the other guys here hahah

Every time someone says they're not like 'other guys', he's exactly like a few other guys. Haha!

that's good, we're pretty much on the same page. Men with same interests can be a little annoying aha. What are you up to today?

Haha. I'm heading out of the house now for a while to get some computer hardware.

I've never actually met someone with the same interests as you hahah

Haha. They're out there somewhere. I haven't met many with the same interests either. Then again I don't really put much effort in looking for like-minded peers.

and no I'm not trying to get into your pants for sure, just so you know hahah. I simply just want to know you in an anonymous stand point :-)

That's fine, as long as we are all civil and respectful about it. By that, I mean no prodding into private matters like a few other people have been doing here.

but really though, what are your interests?

History, social issues, education, travel, and storytelling to name a few.

I heard that you used to work in Mediacorp? Hoping for some valuable insight! I'm considering switching from a very promising accounting career to instead do something I have always wanted to, namely screenwriting! Is working in Mediacorp really as bad as a lot of people make it out to be?

My stint was years ago, back in 2008/09. I'm not sure what the environment is like now.
I would say that is a great place to learn the ropes when you're starting out. But like all major corporations, you need to question the opportunities for personal artistic growth, and whether or not the company provides you that.
You won't fail without Mediacorp, too. So it really depends on your personal goal and vision. I didn't like the environment there, so I didn't bother signing the paper once my production was up.
I personally would suggest you keep to your 'promising career' of accountancy, while doing screenwriting as your sideline.
Accountancy allows you to enter any industry in the future. It is a versatile skill. Screenwriting locks you into a very small part of the media. I assume you're still in the early part of your young career. Leave some leeway for flexibility first before you really commit.

So I gather from your response that you didn't make any new friends at the Gay SG confession coffee session then?

No. I was there to simply observe.

How are the Gay SG confessions coffee sessions like? Are the people that go there socially awkward?

I've only been to one, months ago. It's pretty lively, to say the least. Nic, the admin, is perfectly in control of this. I think the sessions have improved recently, too. They had one yesterday, where they shared their coming out stories.
I would describe the attendees who were there months ago as the kinds you will never meet at Tanjong Pagar. Some are quite young, too, and yes, socially awkward.
I cannot accurately describe the attendees now.

Now that Roy has buffed up and has almost 1000 more Instagram followers than you, ever regret rejecting him so early on?

No. My life doesn't revolve around that.
