Hugely different than just 2 years ago even. The scene died once Play moved out and all the young boys dispersed and assimilated into the greater Singapore community. Within the context of societal progress, I would say this was a benefit.
Was talking to a friend recently and we sort of agreed that the clubbing scene now make up the minority of the gay community. Which is sort of true. The kind of culture you saw in 03-04 doesn't exist anymore in the clubs. The ones who still hold on, or grew up in, that culture, have a huge disparity in mentality from the younger generation.
