Have you ever been told by someone other than that of your own race that you're hot for a Malay guy? Do you think that such compliments are backhanded?

The first time someone said 'For a Malay guy you're quite hot.' I was 15/16 and it came from a straight best friend. That has been stuck in my mind every since. 'For a Malay guy'?
I believe if you're hot, you're hot. Regardless of racial make up. When you're hot, who cares what race you are! Wait, then again, I still won't go for hot Caucasian males (sorry!).
And yes non-Malays have complimented me a few times that I'm hot - for a Malay guy. I take it for what it is, I guess. I just tell them they're cute... for now, when they're young.
I wouldn't see it as backhanded. Many people don't really understand the weight of their words. And there's always the possibility of reading too much into another person's words. So I let it go.

Audi, what about following back some of your followers on Twitter? follow 5 people who favourite 1 twit of yours from December?

I don't keep track of who is retweeting me. I don't even get those notifications. If a person's feed is interesting, and I come across it, I'll follow.

search "twins comes out to father on youtube." do you think homosexuality is something to be born with or was it just a coincidence

I know I that news. My gut says it's genetics largely because many if not everyone I've ever known who is gay always was as a child.
To conclusively say it's genetics, though, I can't say that. Scientific research on this matter is yet to be overwhelmingly conclusive (it's a new thing), and a tiny part of me feels there might be the possibility of nurture playing up to a certain extent.
Would a genetically gay guy still realize himself to be one if he grew up in an environment where homosexuality is unheard of?

Do you miss colour grading your videos in post-productions ?

I do, actually. After getting used to editing my RAW photos, the dynamic range of the Canon DSLRs just don't cut it anymore.
I dabbled with color grading RAW Red footage when we were doing the Afterimages movie and it really did bug me how limited DSLRs were.

Do you keep a dream book and record your dreams (especially from sleep paralysis)?

I've always tried keeping one, but I never seem to have the same discipline.
Maybe it's just me, but I do feel like I'm having lesser vivid dreams as I grow older. I seem to retain them in my memories not as well as I used to. Is this something to do with age? I don't know.

In what direction are you trying to grow personally (ie:- more patient, secure, etc)?

Definitely more empathy for the people around me on top of controlling my temper and tongue.

Besides the old changi hospital have you gone to other old abandoned sites to shoot photos ?

I've been to a few. I've went up to the courtyard of the Matilda House before the huge field was leveled and HDBs started appearing all around it.
I've been to the old Mediacorp Radio building over at Turut Track, way beyond Kranji, north of Lim Chu Kang. The scariest part were the audio recording rooms. Everything inside was padded so the silence was deafening on top of it all having no light coming in at all.
There's also the old Singtel building off Yio Chu Kang road which I find really cool. The top level was oddly shaped, like an octagon, and huge glass windows that faced into the centre of the building. The roof was amazingly flooded to the calves and had beautiful healthy weeds growing.
There are definitely more places, but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head. Many of these places I visited because I was on location recce for movies.

So what did you do over the weekend? Met any new good looking guys? ;)

The usual. Hung out with friends, did silly stuff. And nope, wasn't looking for any new guys.

Are drag queens gay? From your explanation they may not be gay boys at all.

Obviously most of them would be gay. But if a straight guy drags and performs like every other queen, wouldn't that still make him a drag queen?

Any advice about dealing with rejection in general? I could use some suggestions...

Generally, would this rejection matter to you a year from now? If it doesn't, why worry? Can you change anything? If not, why worry?

For the sake of my own education - what is drag all about it it is more than cross-dressing or being transgender ?

Allow me to explain to the best of my ability.
While on the surface, drag queens, transgenders and cross-dressers may seem like they belong into the same category I think there are clear differences.
Transgenders are people who feel, internally, that they belong opposite of their physical gender (men who truly believe they're rightfully women despite having a penis).
Cross-dressers, to put it simply, are men who dress up in women's outfits.
Now, drag queens, I would say, are distinct in the sense that they are men who dress up as women for more creative or entertainment purposes. Usually drag queens have exaggerating traits and costumes, which explains the theatrical make up, costumes and performances. They are but one part of gay culture that stems from a long history. Some drag queens do it as a platform to send out a message, either through satire, stand up comedy or in their costumes. Others use it to express themselves, much like acting, or painting, or dancing.
Now, here's where it gets a bit grey. A drag queen can also be a transgender, or a cross dresser. At the same time, a drag queen may also be just a regular person who performs as a drag queen. It doesn't matter his sexual orientation nor gender. Drag Queens are but a title. It describes your active role at that point, but it shouldn't come to dictate your sexual orientation nor gender identity.
Some may disagree with my explanation, and I may have unknowingly skipped or misunderstood a few points, but I hope this answer was succinct enough.

Why do you have wax your legs ?

I've never liked so much hair on my legs. That's the hairiest part of my body. Disproportionately hairy.

How do you stay informative about current affairs and has that been part of your interest since you were young?

This is actually why I'm selective with who I follow.
They say you're the average of the quality of people you hang around with. Well, we spend a lot of time on our social media feeds, so I feel the the quality of my feeds warrant some thought.
I've curated my Facebook and Twitter feeds to show posts from friends and acquaintances who are passionate or driven in social issues and various crafts. I don't agree with all of their opinions, but I believe it's always nice to have variety. Some of their posts I may not even understand, such as the economy or business, but I follow anyway. I hide all posts from people who are constant whiners, excessive selfies, or downright boring. I don't seem to run out of content to share on Facebook because of this.
On my own I've been browsing Reddit for many years now. My favorite is Today I Learned and History.
I guess this has always been something I've been doing since I was a kid. I love reading, and I'll nose around observing others do their work. You learn a few things this way.
It's only in my adult life did I develop a keen interest in current affairs.

Why can't i follow you tho? Wtv, where did you go after O's tho?

It's just strange that younger boys are following me. I gotta watch what I say!
Anyway, after O levels I went to Ngee Ann to take a diploma in Film, Sound and Video. Was generally an average student with a moderate GPA. My best module was screenwriting.
I started work professionally just before I graduated, and here I am 8 years later, countless short films under my belt, 2 feature films and a handful of awards I don't even remember what they are about.
Out of all my cohort from that year, only a handful are still in the film or photo industry.

hey hey we aren't kids okay. i'm the age of jaden collecting my results later.... jaden isn't a kid right.

Jaden is 9 years younger than I am. He's always gonna be the little brother I never had. Haha!

Gonna collect my o levels result later. omg so nervous.

... I did that 11 years ago. Omg who are you kids following me?

How do someone that haven't met you before make friends with you??

You can't make friends if you don't make the first step. I'm easily contactable online. Shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Does weight/body/face matters to make friends for you?

Face, to a certain extent. I mean, let's be honest, we all are guilty of the same thing.
I do enjoy a person with great character though, and a bad one turns me off quickly, even if he's cute.

Can you explain your special relationship and affinity to drag queens ? Do you secretly wish you could drag yourself ?

Just because a person supports gay rights doesn't make it gay. Just because someone denounces animal cruelty doesn't mean he's into bestiality. Let's get this point very clear. To insinuate I'm doing this because I have a secret fantasy to be a drag queen is simplistic and insulting. Why the fuck are people so fucking cynical?
I place drag queens in the same category as arts performers. It is much like acting. It requires a lot of thought, craft, and skill to successfully pull it off.
I've spent a lot of time with drags due to the nature of my work. I have immense respect for what they do. You should read more about it.
Sadly they're always being misrepresented by even the LGBT community itself. They judge drags, they see it the same as being transgender, or cross dressing. They are totally different. It's disheartening.
Some see drags as as clowns, or lesser humans. So they think it's fine to poke their boobs, smack their crotch, pull off their wigs. Fuck that shit, seriously. It angers me.

Is Teejay PLU?

He came out publicly online recently. I remember being at Pho Stop when he posted a beautiful coming-out essay and I was almost to tears.
It takes a lot of courage to come out like that. Mad respect for him.
