After, and right before the collapse of the Soviet Union, why do you believe so many Atheists were so easily converted to Christianity? This is how most of the generation of my parents (they're now 38) became Christians. All of our family grew up in Armenia, and we traveled to the US 5 years ago.
Mainly because communism isn't just a political framework, it's also an ideology. Ideologies are very similar to religion.
Once the communism rug was pulled out from under their feet, they only had Christianity to fall back on.
The world just seems to want to fit itself into an identity...

I'm pretty new to Atheism, but out of habit I end up praying, even though I dislike, a lot, the concept of religion. When you were an early Atheist, did you go through this?
