when my family found out I was an atheist they started going to church more. but was that just a response to a perceived attack on their fath? for a while I was scared I'd be kicked out of home and my mom didn't talk to me for a while.

Yeah, may have been subconcious.
I find when I go on a diet that doesn't allow bread that everyone around me buys extra bread.
I thought it was them trying to make a point, but I realized they were subconsciously thinking "bread, bread, bread"

I was told my depression was a result of my atheism too.
Except we can clearly see that it's a result of a chemical imbalance.

What's with all the hate against TJ? Don't people realize that his whole, "angry screaming atheist" act is just that; an act. He's admitted time and time again that he's practically and introvert in real life. His videos can be retarded, yes, but his genuine non over the top videos are quite good.

Well, sure, it's a character.
That doesn't make his videos better though.
I don't mind him as a person, but I just don't relate to his work.
I'm not insulting him as a person, I am just saying his work... does nothing for me.
I like videos that make me think. TJ doesn't usually say anything I've never heard before.

Lol TJ's channel is falling, he gets like 5000 subs a month. Plus he's such a complete douche that he'll go full Brett Keane and get his channel deleted.

I think you have a chance at top atheist channel, you've been around a little more than a year and already 100K.

I doubt it. There are players who are just too big. The Amazing Atheist, for example, is popular for screaming unclever, unfunny profanities and making obvious points... how do I carve into that market with my multi-layered comedy-based thought-out high-production videos?

Congrats on 100,000 subs, man! What now?

Well, like I said, when I hit $1,000 per month on Patreon (which I have) and 100,000 subs I will be going pro.
Fuck... that sounds scary... all on my own... making videos to support my film-making dream.
So, now I have to make some hard decisions about my plans. Do I need to get an apartment, smaller and more private? Do I need to cut off some of my expenses? Do I need to move my horse to a cheaper barn? Do I need to get a cheaper vehicle? So many questions, so much to do... I am officially overwhelmed. I am not going to get any help on this.
It's scary, trying to go out in the world and make your own way... But I guess dreams wouldn't be worth having if they weren't difficult to obtain.
