Do you have a view on animal rights? From an atheist/skeptical point of view there is no reason to exclude non-human animals from rights we grant to young children or the severely mentally ill (with similar cognitive function and similar lack of ability to reciprocate rights).

There is no LOGICAL reason to give rights to animals that I can think of...
But I am a big animal lover and think that any an all animals should be treated with even more respect and love than people because they don't have the same agency on this planet that we do.
That being said though, some populations need to be controlled, like deer, wolves and coyotes.

While your arguments are very well done, they are always made in response to some pretty sad arguments. My question is are you willing to take on a more serious and well reasoned theist/creationist in one of your videos?

Working my way up.

What is your favourite country in Europe?

I haven't been. I will be doing a tour next year though.
I imagine it will be either France or Italy, though I'm hoping I will like Germany the most, because that's where my family is from.

I am working on a Masters in History, and I see that you are a history geek, like me, What is your favorite time period to study in history? Mine is Rome and the Minoans (island of Crete before the Mycenaeans which were before the Greeks) But I love the Romans. You?

Basically from the beginning of the Greek era to the War of Roses era...
You want me to narrow it down...? Jesus, fine.
16th Century.
Jousting was still extremely popular, Armour technology was at it's peek and Gun-Powder was just starting to be employed in the battle-field.
But I will always have a soft-spot in my heart for the Dark Ages.
Oh, shit, please don't quote-mine that part!

For my religious studies class (im an atheist but enjoy learning about theology) At my California State University.. For my final due next week I have to write a 7 to 10 page formal paper on any topic of my choosing about Religion in America, and I cant decide on what to write about, any suggestions

considering that since the very first tribe of humans, religion has always been here, and the idea that anytime something happens and your first instinct is to see meaning or pattern in it, could you possibly argue that the default position of cognition is theism?

No, because theism is the result of a line of thinking, not the result of instinct.

How does it feel to be a native speaker of English? Like almost every civilized person speaks your language, and anywhere you go you can expect that the locals understand you when you speak your mother tongue. I wish I could speak perfect English (or like a native), but that's just not possible ;__;

It feels like ice-cream.
I don't know how to answer that question :p

Do I have a big enough penis to ask you, did you feel happier as a Christian, than now, as an atheist? I was an atheist since I know of myself, but I guess that's because my father is an atheist, and my mother is a deist, so no religion was ever forced upon me.

Yeah, I feel much happier now.
The weight on your shoulders as a Christian is terrible. Always afraid you'll be punished and not always knowing when/how/why is terrifying.

What's your opinion about agnosticism?

As a philosophy?
Since everyone is technically agnostic, I think its the most honest of all spiritual philosophies.

What do you think of "Furries"? Or more specifically, the "Furry Fandom" as a whole and the people within it?

I. Don't. Get. It.
But to each their own.

So if there was 2 week ship cruise with either The Atheism+ crowd or Creationists. The Atheism+ crowds cruise would be dedicated to smashing the pathriarchy, sexism in atheism, etc. The Creationist cruise would be about their usual idiotic propaganda. If you had to choose one, wich would you choose

If religion is an instinctual thing, how do we know that animals don't know they're going to die but just accepted death because their animal god will reward them?

...WAT!?
Who said religion is instinctual?

Does it count as confirmation bias if a Christian tries to prove the existence of God by mentioning all of their answered prayers but never mention any of their unanswered prayers?

Yup

I've found Deism hard to understand... could you tell me its basics?

Its like a more superstitious form of agnosticism.
Its the acceptance of the idea that a god of some sort may exist and may be dictating the motion and laws of the universe, but he's not someone that needs to be worshiped or submitted to, more like a father that watches us.
Like a non-theistic, non-religious belief in a deity.

What is your favourite type of take away?

There is an amazing Chinese restaurant by my place that makes all their food fresh. I always look forward to a chance to take home some of their veggies and rice.

You say you're a medieval nerd and specifically enjoy jousting. Do you enjoy renaissance fairs and or larping?

Never been to a fair. Bet the historical inaccuracies would knaw away at me... Not into larp, no.

Have you watched Internet Aristocrat (or nowadays Mister Metokur)'s videos and what do you think of him?

Fucking LOVE him!
Again, another controversial figure, but speaks a lot of truth.

Do you believe in freewill?

Yes, it's clear we have free-will, but I do not think we have as much agency over our decision-making as we think we do. The computer in our brain does the deciding and our ego justifies the decision as-if the ego made the decision itself.
