For my birthday I like to do low-key stuff. Resteraunt or a pint at a pub. Sometimes even just a day-trip to a small town I like and walk around with a friend.
Monty Python... I used to, yes. I watched almost all if their movies, except the Jesus one. I must have seen holy grail 6 times. Only saw a couple episodes of the TV show.
Curious, could you give example of non-genes-based selection? Before you say like sexual selection, I must say that in the backround there are genes that make that sexually selected variation to happen
Behavioral selection. Behaviors are sometimes genetic, and sometimes learned.
If I ate two apples yesterday because I was hugry and then I stopped being hungry, but I need four apples to stop being hungry today, does this mean that I am hungrier today or that the laws of physics have changed?
How would you go about helping someone that's always wondering why they get into problems and situations, get's annoyed by hearing the same solutions that they hear from people that tries to help them, and doesn't believe that they're the problem?
Here's something you might not get asked often. What's the best dirty joke you know?
A man sits at a bar with a giant alligator. The whole room gasps and the bartender says "No! Get that thing out of here! I don't want him attacking people" The owner says "He's harmless, trust me" Bartender "How can you prove this?" Owner "I'll put my penis in his mouth and hold it there for 15 mins. If he doesn't bite I get to keep him here. Deal?" Bartender "Ha, ok, deal" The owner of the alligator unzips and sticks his penis in the alligators mouth. 15 minutes rolls by and the alligator never bites. The owner said "Ha! See? I told you! Who else wants to try?" There was silence for a moment, then a drunk man at the end of the bar said "I'd be willing to try it, but I don't think I can keep my mouth open that long."
Over-all it's because I had a very demanding job and an even more demanding... personal-life. I've just recently made steps to do Armoured Media full-time and I'm just waiting to get internet hooked up and my new work/studio space set up. In about a month it will be a whole new experience.
I find it odd you don't realize you aren't helping create more atheist but promoting suppression of religion. No genuine discussion with theistic scientific minds, just mockery of a belief you yourself use to have. Will you have someone jailed for teaching their child theist beliefs or...?
What the fuck is going on here? Why do I have to promote atheism? I'm an entertainer. See?
It is a form of oppression to control what people teach. How can you concern yourself with what people teach when they have the freewill to learn something else? Why is it instantly dismissed to teach the sciences as they are and not a philosophical indoctrination?
Well my FAVORITE animals are Lions, Horses and Elephants. But the animals that fascinates me the most are Giant Sea-Turtles, tardigrades and Giant Squids
I'd asume that just like other stuff homosexuality is partly genetical and party due enviroment. Such genes would just increase the chance of homosexuality of an individual. Now I'm not saying that there HAS to be genes like that, I just point out that IF there are some, selection can favor them
Fair enough. Even if it wasn't genetic, selection can still favor them. Selection is not always gene-based
I've read hypotesis that individuals that are homosexual pay more attention to their siblings, increasing their survival rate. Because of 50% chance of sharing same genes, the "homo genes" stay in the gene pool. This might even been in one of Dawkins' books (not sure tho)
Ok, assuming that is true, do you (or does anyone) have proof that a "homo-gene" exists? None has been found. As far as we know, homosexuality is a result of environment in the womb, growing up and the world.
No, I rarely wear a full-suit. I've got a bit of a range. At work I wear a shirt and tie. If I go out in public I usually dress in collared shirts and jeans. I have some t-shirts too.
