I've a read a lot of sites that state Lithium Chloride is harmful if absorbed through the skin, it may hurt kidneys, thyroids, etc. (Here is one https://ww2.valdosta.edu/~tauyeno/chemicals/Lithium%20chloride.pdf) I want to try the protocol but am a bit afraid of LiCl. How do you know it's safe?
It's safe in small amounts. If you read up the only real problems arose back when it was used as a salt substitute which means people ingested several grams a day. I only use 10mg once a week.
Would the ideal protocol still involve stimulation of progenitor cells even if all the hair follicles you need is already there, but they are stuck as vellus or slightly in between vellus and terminal? Basically, how important is LiCl in my situation where all I need is to strengthen existing hair?
If you've still got vellus I don't think it's necessary to use licl.

It's worse than AHK-CU and you have to be very careful. Most places that sell AHK actually sell you GHK instead. It works good but nothing groundbreaking. Helped a lot of people on PHG with inflammation and shed.

You can mix them I've seen people on phg do it successfully. Yes minox upregulates both. But due to the antagonistic nature of pge2 and pge1 you end up with more pge1.
