What is the mark of your dermapen that you use? and where did you buy it? and how much?

I use the derminator from owndoc.

what if we inject Setipiprent and PGE2 with something like Insujet?

If you can get the right depth, sure that'd be better.

I bought Stemox, Castor Oil, Sulfasazine, a dermaroller, Lithium Chloride and an UVB lamp. I'm taking a leap of faith on you bro! Fingers crossed

Good luck dude. Keep at it, consistency is key.

Can i use Dermos Stemox + Minox + Castor oil together? topicaly ofc. Or there is a better way?

luisfilipe89
Hm that should mix in theory. Give it a try I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Hey I'm a big fan of what you are doing who actually happens to be a student at UPenn, where Cotsarelis works. I bet there is a good chance I could get a coffee chat or lunch with him if I reached out. Are there any questions that would be worth asking?

Haha none that he's going to answer, I've already had people ask him questions on my behalf and he brushed them off saying he's not allowed to comment on it. Maybe you could get some interesting documents instead?

Dear Swiss, I would like to ask that is Tubzy responsible for the approval of accounts in PHG? I've got the invitation code and I am waiting for approval since 2-3 weeks :(

Tubzy just does the invitation process and first screening. Approval is done by admin. He's been at the world hair congress and just returned. It might go a bit quicker now. Keep in contact with tubzy.

This is what I'm using: Dermarolling 1.5mm 1x week, and minixodil twice a day (apart from on day of rolling). I have just bought castor oil and want to add it to my regime. Can I apply it topically at the same time that I apply Minoxidil?

Yes you can

How can we join the group buys? Is PHG not accepting new members because I have applied like 1 month ago and tubzy said he put in a good word for me

No I'm really sorry I can't accept people anymore. Keep in contact with tubzy he's the one who's still actively recruiting.

You've previously mentioned that when you have topical pge2 you could in theory use cox inhibitors. Doesn't this mean that you can use for example resveratrol as long as you use castor oil?

No because castor oil is not real pge2. It mimics a quarter of its effect. Real pge2 cascades into pgf2a afterwards. I would not consider cox inhibitors. But if you feel like experimenting, why not. With castor you will at least have one fourth of pge2 still that's better than nothing,

Are there any other ways to lower pgd2 except from taking sulfasalazine? And did you get any results when you were using resveratrol?

Nothing really profound yet. We've found a few substances but they're all pretty weak. Topical micronized sucra might be an alternative but it's a bitch to find. Hard to say, I used resveratrol before the hair growth set in. So, who knows? I don't think it did. Some studies show it can inhibit pge2. Maybe it was one of the reasons I only started to grow after I dropped it. We can only speculate.

Hey, i saw your progress and it looks great, congrats..But can you send me a list what do you use now, i read your blog but i dont understand what does ru,pgd2,pge2 and that kind of stuff mean? Please tell me..I ordered Minox rogaine foam 5%now and derma roller i have coster oil what do i need more?

Thanks. Well I can't really explain that to you it takes hours and days to read up on that stuff. RU is an anti androgen, pgd2 is the hair killing prostaglandin and pge2 is one of the most beneficial prostaglandins.
Check the ghetto protocol list for stuff you could add to your regime.

Can you please name some reliable sources to buy the ingredients in the section "What to buy and use"? Also - do you actually burn the areas to sunburn once a week? Wouldn't that be potentially harmful in the long run? Thanks, you rock.

You can find most of it on ebay, inhousepharmacy and owndoc.
Yes I do and yes you're not supposed to do it forever. Sticking to UVB makes it less bad than a real sunburn.

what are the long term risks of using uvb lamps? i am concerned about increasing skin cancer risk and dna damage

At light burns and maximum of once a week not much at all, regular tanning is worse. But sunburns aren't something to keep up for eternity. It is only a substitute in the ghetto protocol. PGE2 should be used instead.

Prepidil (Dinoprostone Cervical Gel) Do you think this could be used as a topical treatment?

No not really, it is too expensive and low dosed unfortunately.

What do you think of this recent discovery that JAK inhibitors might work for AGA as they worked to solve Alopecia Areata? recent study by Dr. Angela Christiano's team.

jkbong
We have trialed tofacitinib last year at PHG. It didn't seem to do much. I agree with the JAK theory in principle but the pgd2 angle might be a too big lock which is why it has only worked on AA so far.

Swiss, thank you very much for all you have done for us! Can you clarify something to me? Whats exactly the role of sun exposure in hair processes? Is it something related to PGD2/PGE2 ballance, right? The net effect favor us or not? Thanks!!!

Sure. Sun exposure itself doesn't do much but sunburns induce a very strong release of prostaglandins. Here's one for example, there are many more. Also if you want to do sunburns you want to combine it with sulfasalazine.

Hey Swiss! Do you think there is a major difference between taking Seti orally vs. topically? Rumors say if swallowed 50% go down the sink because of first pass effect. Do you think if taken orally, its bioavailability is high enough to make it to the follicle in relevant quantities? Thanks! :)

It's not a rumor, I've said that after studying the setipiprant papers. It's indeed true that 50% of seti gets pissed out when taken orally. Furthermore it will get spread throughout your entire body. Since seti is a receptor blocker it makes more sense to use it topically.

Swiss, I am one of the greatest coffee junkies I've ever met. Drinking huge amounts of coffee every day is one of the biggest pleasures in my life. Do you think I should reconsider this habit?

Well systemic caffeine is not such a big deal. Aspirin is way worse. No I don't think it's enough to affect your hair. If you truly believe you're close to OD'ing on coffee and it does affect your hair then try a week without and see how it goes. In my opinion it probably won't be different.

Hi Swiss. Great respect to you, amazing work! My question is about a way to diminish the suffering from hair loss: beard. Can you give some advice to the patchy beard fellas? Would some form of topical adenosine help? If minox hasn't the skin destroying effect I would use it, since it works...thks!

Hey, thanks. You LOSE hair on your beard or you never grew it there to begin with? Adenosine only thickens the hair follicle diameter it's best for diffuse hair loss. Oral/topical castor will thicken it as well but to grow more beard hairs you need androgens.
