How comes PGE1 (minoxidil) grows hair in some people without PGE2?
PGE1 and PGF2a are both beneficial for hair. If you have something that increases them you should use it. PGE2 is still stronger though. Minoxidil regrowth is somewhat hit or miss, usually more miss. If you use Minox early after losing hair you're more likely to grow it back.

Sulfasalazine increases PGE2 only slightly. Let me make an example. Sulfasalazine increases your endogenous PGE2 production somewhat, but when adding exogenous real PGE2 you're not limited in any way. It's like taking steroids. Someone who uses exogenous testosterone will get better result than someone taking a few herbs to raise his natural testosterone. Hope you understand the point I tried to make.

I wouldn't say it's solved by sulfa and castor alone but it's a good way to at least get close. Real PGE2 will always be superior. I haven't found a cheap alternative to Seti yet. Some guys suggested selenium and certain piperazines but we don't know the half life of those, and that's quite important for us to know.

I use a plastic syringe and draw up 1ml castor oil, put it in my mouth and chase with water. Taste is pretty bland and not bad. Topically I use only a few drops because I only apply it to the temples. You just need to cover the area so use however much you need.

They are good growth factors but I don't think you can replace physical wounding. There are so many more growth factors released by the real thing, all the EGF's, the FGF's, etc. It's going to be nearly impossible to simulate that chemically.

Does PGE2 have side effects?
Topically, not really. But PGE2 is for example involved in muscle growth. Some cutting edge bodybuilders have abused injectable prostaglandins to grow to new heights. Some some stuff for you to read:

EN stands for enteric coating. That's the one you want.
Can you describe your regrowth in your own words, are you NW 0 now?
I started out close to nw3 so I often call it nw2.5. Hair growth started pretty much everywhere, all over nw0 to nw3 it suddenly popped up everywhere where I had hair as a kid. I have the outlines of a nw0 now and it feels weirdly fuzzy and strange to have hair back in that area where I had none. Density isn't what I had yet but it keeps improving and now that I have my Seti and soon pge2 it can only get better.
I noticed one thing, I am not sunburning and wounding at the very edge of my nw0 zone because that would be visible in daily life. There is less growth there compared to the zones who I treat with the needling and burning. But I don't wanna make up excuses why the edge of my scalp is weirdly red lol.

Cistanche seems to work similar to minox, as in that it raises pge1 which in turn lowers pge2 temporarily:

In a public forum there's a guy (who seems to be retarded) saying that PHG groupbuys are a scam (I'm not saying I believe him). Is there a way to get the products like seti and others without getting into a groupbuy? What are your thoughts on this?

Hey noisette. Interesting paper thank you. It's mostly about the synthesis of those Piperazines. "50mg to 5g" is quite a huge difference in dosage. Doesn't look like they really tested the efficacy. I also don't see the half life of this substance? Does it block PTGDS for an hour? 5 hours? An entire day? A guy sent me a link about selenium before and we have the same problem here. Do we need a constant infusion for this stuff or how long will it work by applying it once? This is another reason why I picked Setipiprant, you can use it once or twice a day and be done with it. If you want you can look deeper into these piperazines and try to find the halflife. If you find something I will put it into the blog and give you credit.

Swiss when your nw0 starts filling out will you still be a mod on PHG? Being relatively new in my hairloss journey it would be great to see people with the knowledge stay and help (with group buys ect) because i'm sure the numbers will start to thin out (Maybe for the best regarding the "celebs").
I will stay there as long as the forum keeps existing. Some of the guys have become very dear to me and I'm not one to say that lightly. Hi Swiss. I've heard that you "dislike" Cetizirine. You know that there were some positive results that, although not cosmetically significant, meant that Cet was doing something. But if you dislike it you must have a good reason. Mind to share (besides Seti being better)?
Yes sure dude. I've actually warned people before not to use Cetirizine but they wouldn't listen. Cetirizine being a cox inhibitor inhibits both the BAD and the GOOD prostaglandins. Lack of good prostaglandins is just as bad as pgd2. If you would at least use endogenous prostaglandins such as pge2, bim or others while using cetirizine you would be better off. I think I wrote about cox inhibition being the wrong way in "The Prostaglandin protocol". It's extremely important to target the right things in the prostaglandin chain.
For diffused thinning, will wounding cause shock loss or extra shedding of existing hairs?
I'm not sure personally as I've only used it in the temples. There's a guy on PHG with diffuse thinning who rolls once a week though and it doesn't cause him shedding.
How have been you applying LC? AFAIK, you've done it after wounding only, is it correct? What kind of vehicle did you use (assuming you bought it in powder form)? Thank you.

I did hear some people talk about that but I haven't seen any studies showing it. Do you have some? Maybe you also want to take a look at the guy who suggested selenium a few answers prior to this.
