Will this work for all types of hairloss? For example, diffused pattern alopecia? Also, approximately what was the total cost for all the products in your regimen? Thanks Swiss.

I'm not sure I just looked at classical MPB since that's what I have. The underlying mechanisms are the same in all hair though, pge2 prolongs anagen and signals growth, pgd2 causes catagen etc.
I don't know that depends where you buy them from. My approach right now is pretty cheap.

Is there a risk of potassium loss when using oral castor oil at a dose of 1 mL per day? I saw this listed as a side effect of castor oil on WebMD

That's from laxative doses

Swiss. Once you release your protocol will you also outline the exact method your using? Example, mix this with that, buy from this vendor, leave on for this long? My hair game isnt as strong as yours, and if you could break it down to laymans terms that would be awesome. Thanks

I will leave out the vendors since some shills have already accused me of trying to sell stuff. But yeah I'll try to list the rest as simple as possible.

I signed up for PHG few days ago to hopefully join some of the GBs but my membership isn't getting approved. I'm a peaceful user and always looking for new ways to fight MPB. Is there any reason why I can't get in? (Asking this because AFAIK you're a mod/admin there)

It's usually by invite only. You can send me an email at swisstemples@gmail.com let's see what we can do.

I've tried topical castor oil and dermarolling with no results in the past. Do you think it's worth it to repeat the experiment but adding oral castor oil daily?

I too had no results from dermarolling on its own before. You need to lower pgd2, enhance pge2, stimulate cd34 and then wound. That's the approach. Oral castor will only increase pge2 somewhat.

Forgive me I'm a tad new to this, but essentially after you regrow your hair, will you maintain it using fin/dut? Fin gives me severe sides so I was curious if you might attempt something else.

I have no side effects from Dut so I will most likely stick to that. I suggest you try topical RU or CB, inhibiting pgd2 is another approach with topical or oral Seti or topical OC.

What do you think about derma rolling, do you do it?

I use an electrical dermastamp, the "derminator" from owndoc. 2.5mm once a week until the skin turns purple. Mechanical wounding is extremely important. It's one of the 4 points you have to address for regrowth.

What do you think about Tretinoin? There's a member in a private hairloss forum who has been posting updates using Minoxidil + Finasteride + Tretinoin (.025%). He haven't had much success with Minox + Fin alone but Tretinoin gave him some strong vellus hairs in the temples.

Already talked about Tretinoin in another answer. I have tried that same combo and it did nothing for me.

Oral castor only works in the intestines?

No. I wasn't sure about that either at the beginning but several users on PHG who also started using internal castor developed the same hypertrichosis sides, especially the ones taking 2ml a day. It is *very* clearly working systemically when people are growing more and longer bodyhair, eyelashes, and so on.

Sorry if i may have missed it, but can you please share your exact daily regimen/routine step by step to get that awesome result?

It's not that easy. I'm going to explain the exact reasoning, the effects and the referenced studies. After that I will explain my current makeshift approach without access to specific substanced. And after that the approach which I consider to be superior with actual harder to get stuff. You will find all that in the category "The Prostaglandin protocol" when I find the time to write it all out.

I've been on 3g Sulfasalazine daily for over a year along with fin and minox. Is it possible to get regrowth by simply getting sunburn?

Hi. Well Sulfasalazine is kind of a jack of all trades but king of none. It slightly reduces pgd2, raises pge2 but that's it. If you get sunburns you raise the pge2 even further. No, I doubt that alone will be enough for regrowth. But if you express CD34 stemcells and all the "small" growth factors through wounding you're pretty much covered. You'd probably benefit more from adding Dermarolling/Dermaneedling than sunburns.

Does Minoxidil have PGE2?

No minoxidil does not contain pge2. Your question probably is "does it create pge2". Well not quite. It has one chain where it does slightly raise pge2 but it has a bigger one that increases pge1. Both pge1 and pge2 are benficial for hair, however on a biological level they compete against each other. Raise pge1 and you lower pge2, raise pge2 and you lower pge1. Due to that Minox has no beneficial effect on pge2. But since it raises pge1 you should use it if you are a responder to minox (I am not personally).

Hi - i v much like the sound of PGE2 powder - how much per application and where best to source? Thanks again

From my reading 100mcg (0,1mg) per ml seems to be best. There is a groupbuy at pioneeringhairgrowth.com right now happening for it. If you're quick and mention in your registration info it's likely that you can still join.

Once hair has grown to similar to now, do you believe you still need to apply (lamp and all regime)... i'm assuming the hair is aga susceptible hair as it's from same stems as previous which were suscpectible, and thus treatment is needed to keep the hair long term?

Well my growth hasn't finished yet I believe there's a lot more to come. But as for your question, I don't see a reason to keep using PGE2 once regrowth is accomplished. We are after all trying to get the scalp back into pre-MPB state where it once again expresses the correct balance of PGE2 vs PGD2. That's also why the stem cell induction and mechanical wounding is an absolute requirement.
But you got the right idea, it's similar to turning back the clock. You will still need to keep some kind of maintenance be it pgd2 inhibition or an anti androgen of some kind.

How can you rule out that your regrowth is from Dutasteride/5AR inhibitors?

Simple. I've used Finasteride for almost 6 years with nothing at all growing in my temples. And Dutasteride for close to 3 years now without anything growing in my temples. And I've even used Dut + RU + Minox combined for half a year once with -absolutely- nothing in my temples, not even vellus.

Also, what's your view on the use of calcipotriol, valproic acid , Tretinoin as suggested by someone who read through the same studies you reference?

Tret is difficult to use since a too high percentage can have negative effects. Calci isn't as useful as people think, VPA is pretty nice for CD34.

Lastly, what's your view on the use of Bimtaprost as another weapon on these pathways/mechanisms? What effectiveness out of 10 are thinking for it (if assuming if any % is possible.. i.e. not constrained to mass market 0.03%). Thanks

PGF2a is weaker and downstream of PGE2. Makes little sense to use Bim instead. Check out the Prostaglandin chart under "My theories".

How important is sunburn... i have fairly light skin and would rather risk long term UVA/B damage

Not very important. It's a good way to increase endogenous PGE2 expression especially combined with Sulfasalazine but using actual PGE2 powder topically is preferred.

Sulfasalazine: did you take this systematically/pills or manage to get into a topical. What dosage and how often?

You can NOT use sulfasalazine topically because it's a pro-drug. This means that sulfasalazine as a chemical only works once the body converts it into its active form. So topical is out of the question.
I started with 500mg twice daily, I'm now using 2x 500mg twice daily.

Amazing stuff you legend. Question for you: Ricinoleic acid: in what form did you use this (just pure R acid or did you apply castor oil). Also how much applied and how often? Any vehicle or anything else key about delivery?

Cold pressed pure castor oil. NOT black jamaican castor oil! That one has the shells added back in as powder/ash which you do not want. You can apply it sparingly, once a day. I suggest mixing it with some DMSO for absorption unless you want to keep it on your head the entire night. I use 70% castor 30% dmso.
Oral castor I use 1ml with water daily. 2ml causes more hypertrichosis and doesn't seem to affect the temples much more than 1ml. Go above 5ml and you will crap yourself. ;)
