One of the follicept guys died, do you think it was from follicept?

Yeah I heard, quite tragic. He was the same age as me.
No absolutely not. He used such a tiny amount of IGF-1 it would hardly make a difference even if it went systemic. Apparently he died of a blood clot.

I keep reading Quercetin blocks pgd2. A user on a forum even detailed on how it can be made into a topical (https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/threads/12124-Homemade-PGD2-Inhibitor) what do u think of this approach. I'm just trying to help find an alternative for ppl who prefer over the counter. TY.

The problem is that Quercetin does not block PGD2, in fact it's just a COX2 inhibitor and as such will also kill your PGE2 and PGF2a which you definitely want to keep. That's why you see many people on forums who tried it but nobody who really had any success with it. It's actually even a pretty strong COX inhibitor:
"Quercetin and the synthetic COX-2 inhibitors (10 mM) suppressed PGE2 production by ~70% after 24 h
exposure (P 5 0.001)."

Do you expect your protocol to be applied indefinitely or do you think once hair has sprouted it will be good to go without further treatment?

No once I have my desired regrowth I'll switch back to either Dut or Seti. I only need to protect it from future PGD2 damage. It would be too much effort to keep doing this for the rest of my life lol.

I use fin and minox twice daily, i was thinking of adding castor oil. Will it make a dffrnce if i switch it for minox twice a week for the evening application? The new hair that you are getting on your temples, is it reacitvation of dormant follicle or follicle neogenisis? Great work bro!!!!

Keep using the minox if it's getting you results. Just add the castor as well.
I'd say it's reactivation since the needling I'm doing with the derminator isn't severe enough to actually cause tissue regeneration on that scale. They're just tiny holes.

what was you using in place of Seti before you got it? and Swiss, don't want to hurry you up, but I'm waiting my invitation.. lol

I used resveratrol for a while before I started Sulfasalazine. But since Sulfa increases endogenous prostaglandin production I had to stop using it. So, mostly just Sulfasalazine.

you must be aware of this study, it's quite old, 2003.. which makes one wonder why these things never progress into something beneficial - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12734505... it shows that miniaturization of the follicles is not irreversible as it was always thought.

Yeah in fact that's part of what kept me interested in experimenting. Yet there are still plenty of idiots on public forums who claim follicles actually die. Too bad nobody ever cared enough to make an easy introduction to the fundamentals on hair growth and hairloss. Maybe I'll do that some time in the future.

How do you feel about PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatment and its efficacy? The ACell regeneration seems to line up with your theories on wounding.

It's a shitty and horribly expensive alternative to wounding. You get a few growth factors but far less than from actual wounding. And you're going to pay out of the ass for it. Spoke to a few guys who tried it an the results are pretty unimpressive. Not worth it.

Thanks for share your research bro !! About castor oil , how do you take it ? one teaspoon, tablespoon , capsule gels, empty stomach or with food ?

One to two mililiters per day, doesn't matter when you take it. I use a syringe.

Can you describe what kind of LiCL should we buy i.e. is lab grade enough? how much should we apply after wounding?

See previous answer for both of your questions.

When you applied LiCL 20mg (2%?) on wounded scalp 1x/week to boost WNT/progenitor cells, was it slick bald only? I read that LiCL 5% can cause sheds on existing hair. What about Li Succinate? Which LiCL should buy on ebay? - The Science Co LiCL Red Flame Color Lab grade - LiCL reagent 99% Estonia

Yeah absolutely slick and shiney. Haven't had any sheds ever when sticking to 10-20mg (that makes between 5mg to 10mg per temple). I'm using LiCL myself that's what many studies are based upon, others were mentioned too but this is the most common one. When shopping for LiCL you want the highest purity possible, preferably with an analysis report for (lack of) heavy metal contamination.

this guy says, what you are doing gonna cause cancer https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/threads/19018-Setipiprant?p=219757&viewfull=1#post219757. Also, are you on Dutasteride?

So I guess I'm not actually growing hair and those things in my temples are just long and narrow tumors. :D
This guy doesn't understand what "carcinogenic" means and could educate himself by reading the first few sentences about it on wikipedia. PGE2 is not carcinogenic.

Hey Swiss, what do you think is the best vehicle for applying pge2? ethanol/pg?

We're only going to use a tiny amount, you can pick almost anything for that. Even distilled water.

Do you buy pills or did you find a topical solution? If you buy pills and mix with ethanol (like you explain in a previous question) what is the dosage?

luisfilipe89
Pills for what? The only pills I take are Sulfasalazine and those are oral.

Will you quit dut while taking seti?

luisfilipe89
I'm thinking about dropping Dut for Seti once I'm satisfied with my regrowth. For now I don't want to take huge oral doses and neither can I apply topical seti all over my head (I only use it on the temples). So for maintenance I'm keeping Dut in just in case. Why risk losing hair in other zones?

Does Risperidone causes hair loss? ty

luisfilipe89
There's no straight mechanism that I know of but then again I know very little about risperidone. Anti psychotics in general can cause hairloss though, same for anti depressants. Usually that's more of a shock loss though unlike the permanent MPB one.

How optimistic are you about a simple cure for hair loss in the near future. i.e., just take one pill or one topical product or one/several cell injections etc.. and you are done. Your method is hard...even if ingenious.

A simple one? Not optimistic at all. In fact I doubt we'll see it in the next 20 years. An extensive one? Yeah possibly, maybe something comparable to a plastic surgery (in case Lauster's cultured follicles ever make it to the market) or maybe a combo of pills/lotions (similar to what I'm doing). The mainstream at large doesn't care about baldies.

Not exactly hair loss, but I am sick of my fast beard hair growth, tiny forehead hair growth and a little too much body hair. Any ideas of how to remove this. Laser is dangerous on small/fine hair and can sometimes even make it thicker it seems. I also have slightly darker skin (not great for laser)

I feel ya mate. Same here. Oral castor is a bitch. Can't wait for real PGE2.
The easiest way if you can stand the pain is an epilator. I got a home IPL laser too but it's actually less effective than the epilator. I epilate on the face, neck and hands. On the arms I use a beard trimmer to keep it at 3mm so I don't start to look like a turkish gorilla. The shit we do for hair huh?

Swiss, I sent you a email asking to enter a group buy.. I know you've been busy and all.. it's just I want to try your protocol as soon as I can.

Hey man. Yeah sorry my inbox is blowing up, also started a new job so time is rare. I squeeze it in where I can.
We actually just closed the second round of groupbuys. None of "us" the main PHG guys need additional groupbuys but maybe admin can make a third and fourth round for you newbies. I'll try to answer my emails tonight, thanks for the reminder.

Hi Selim. No question, just something you'd find interesting if you were ever a fan of the AMC show Breaking Bad. Who knew Ricin (the toxic thing Walter poisoned that girl with) was a byproduct of castor oil production? Amazing how the structure of compounds can make soemthing so helpful and its by

Hey man. Yeah I watched BB too, great show. :D Too bad Better call Saul is boring shit in comparison.
Yep there's ricin in the bean itself. Fortunately that's not in our oil. Jamaican black castor oil actually burns the pressed beans to ash and then adds it back into the oil... for whatever reason? Either way I suggest staying far away from that.

Hi swiss, I was thinking about using sulfa before I saw your blog but tbh it scared me and its about 398 daltons so I'm thinking about making it topical but still I'm scared of its side effects especially about "laboratory value abnormalities" part did you use it orally and did you get any sides, ty

Dude you can't use Sulfa topically it's a prodrug, you need to swallow it. Yeah I have been using it orally (gonna quit it this week). It's a cheap and bad replacement for Setipiprant. Haven't had any sides except for yellow piss.
