Thank you for taking the time to help everyone out. Question: how do you know that Minox's mode of action is through is through the PGE1 receptors? I can understand that this would lead to angiogenesis through vasodilatory effects, which makes me question the validity in upping dosage.

Minoxidil has also been reported to help in erectile dysfunction due to its pge1 activity. The "nuke" for erectile dysfunction is called alprostadil/caverject. It's an injection of pge1 straight into the dick to make it hard. lol

Hi there! I am allergic to Sulfasalazine. Is this component really important to the regrowth you are having? Or you would have it also without using Sulfa? Can it be replaced by something else? Thanks!

It's not important, it reduces pgd2 slightly and increases pge2 slightly. You can achieve both of that (and more) with other substances as well.

Hi, like to say good job! I have a question on caffeine. There are many shampoos out there which says caffeine is one active ingredient for treating hair loss. But you mentioned caffeine is a cox inhibitor. So does caffeine help or it doesn't. Regenepure and aplecin has it.

It's bad

Is it possible to grow hair on areas were there NEVER was hair before, Like a natural HT?

No. You can get hypertrichosis but that's not going to be real hair.

So just apply the lithium chloride by hand after derma rolling? I don't need to use a vehicle? And just once per week?

The LiCL easily wounds with any water, after wounding and wiping away the blood my scalp is still wet so the LiCL absorbs right in. It's easier then to apply a watery substance to an already watery area. Yeah I do once a week.

Thanks for getting back in the previous question. You mentioned using cloprostenol , any idea where I can get this? Can't seem to find.

Cloprostenol is mostly sold as a veterinary medicine called "Estrumate". It is actually very cheap and high dosed but since it's vet medicine it's somewhat hard to get. Some bodybuilding shops sell it too as it can be abused to destroy fat cells.

Dear Swiss , For Dinoprostone Gel , thats actually 0.5MG and Net Wet is 3g tube for 6 bucks, I couldn't find any cheaper source than this , Just try to help :)

Thank you for the help. I don't think it is worth it at that price. But again, thanks.

Hellouser posted on HLT that FGF9 is necessary to fully regenerate hair follicles after wounding; otherwise, the resulting hairs are thin and wispy. Is it PGE2 that covers that angle? There's a paper from 2006 that suggests PGE2 induces FGF9.

George Costanza
WNT also induces it and so does wounding. That's what I mean when I say people obsess about one growth factor and forget the bigger picture. Many growth factors are actually expressed down the chain.

Did you read all that stuff about balding scalps lacking progenitor cells? How does your regimen work if you are not really inserting progenitor cells into your scalp? (hairlosscure2020.com)

Hairlosscure2020
I actually wrote about it in "The prostaglandin protocol". Haven't finished that section though. You don't need exogenous progenitor cells you just need to use substances to trigger your own scalp to make them. Hypoxia is one, VPA is one, LiCL is one, there's a few different approaches we can use.

Regenepure shampoo has caffeine in it, time to throw that in the bin then?

Depends on the half life and how often you use it. I don't know how long caffeine inhibits cox on the scalp right at the top of my head. It's not something I ever used myself.

Your doing a fine job Swiss, thank you! Been disappointed more then I can count, but I'm now cosiusly optimistic/hopeful. Been some time. Do you think the timing / sequence of applying pgd2 inhibitor and pge2 in relation to the inflammatory process matters? Cotsarely mentions a "window".

Boro
Yes and no. Setipiprant half life is 10 to 18 hours so you should have around the clock pgd2 suppression by applying it twice a day. That's why we need to check the half lifes of alternative substances as well.

Do you know if certain amino acids such as N-Acetyl Cysteine [NAC], Taurine, or even L-Carnitine hinder the production of PGE2? I'm not too well versed on the subject of amino acids but am definitely curious on their role in production of PGE2. Thanks!

I haven't looked into supplements and diet affecing prostaglandins, I believe it's minimal. But no I don't know right now if any of those affect it.

Does accutane affect hair? I'm pretty sure mine started receiding after a 6 month treatment.

Yes it increases PTGDS which is responsible for turning PGH2 into PGD2. It also reduces IGF1 by upregulating IGFBP-3 and IGFBP-5 .
