I just had my first lesson the other day, it didn't go well... I made a fool of myself?I was so confused on how to do the diagonals? And I could get the rhythm down. Idk.. I'm nervous for my next one?any advice..?

don't worry! Everyone has to start somewhere! Don't be nervous either! U just started!??so, when u trot u need 2 post, that's when u rise and gal with the horses steps.. But it has to flow with the horse. That's when diagonals come in! U need to look down at your horses shoulders, you will see one go forward while the other fall back. The correct diagonal is posting (going up) when the outside leg (the horses leg closest to the wall) goes forward. So when u see the outside shoulder go forward, and the inside one go down, that's when u "stand up" in the saddle. Then u sit back down when that one falls back. Hope that helps??
