Well I think Denver McQuary is the best athlete from Houston right now but best freshman athlete is probably Johnta Walker. But the Toppers have a really good freshman class.
I'm not from Bruce nor do I like Bruce. I don't give a crap about what you think about there players.
Then why are you getting worked up about my opinion of the Top 5 players in 2A? It's all my opinion. There's no reason to take it personally. It's just what I think.
The speed is just part of the talent those kids have at Bassfield. Look, I'm not putting down Bruce at all. Do not take offense to what I'm saying. Bassfield just has better prospects right now. Jay and Donta really are not that far behind, but they aren't in the top 5 of the Bassfield kids.
Dang that pisses me off. We'll show you what kinda level Bruce players perform on Friday.
My apologies. Seriously, I love my boys at Bruce. But the speed and athleticism at Bassfield is second to none. Literally, it is like comparing South Panola to Bruce. It really shouldn't make you mad, it's just unfair really. You can't compare those two teams.
Where's Jay Johnson and Donta Armstrong on that list?!?!?!
No disrespect to Jay or Donta, but the Bassfield kids are on another level. Plain and simple.
SBS. Falkner's only shot is to slow down the Jags' rushing attack. But the Eagle D has been lacking lately. If the D comes to play, they've got a great chance to spring the upset. Remember, Falkner was my pick to come out of 1A North to start the season. I hope they can get back in the race to do that.
Thought on Noxapater/Lumberton and Nanih Waiya/Stringer? Thoughts about the setback Noxapater has faced this year?
I've been a little worried about the Tigers falling off the pace the past few weeks, but when it gets to playoff time I never doubt Noxapater. Although pulling Lumberton in the first round is just ridiculous, I'm not doubting the Tigers to get the win. If Nanih Waiya can slow down Tevin Moore, then they have a shot against Stringer. I think they can make it competitive, but the Red Devils are not a team that has plans losing early in this thing.
what do you think of Steele Liles?
I think Steele is gonna blow up his senior year. He's been outstanding this season. Only great things to come for him.
Sharks or Hebron? Score prediction
This is a tough one for me to pick because I've really enjoyed following Hebron this year, but Sharkey-Issaquena is a juggernaut. I'm gonna take them in a 38-24 victory but I hope the Eagles prove me wrong!
what do you think about Cartin McBride from Calhoun City? does he have a bright future?
Without a doubt. Cartin has great speed and quickness on both sides of the ball. He would really benefit from going JUCO and trying to find a landing spot after that. He's definitely got a future in football.
On offense it's probably Ripley but on defense it's definitely Noxubee. That's why I can't wait to see those possessions between those two units. But I still think the game will be won or lost by the Noxubee O vs. the Ripley D
My heart tells me Lafayette but my gut says Greenwood. I think the Dores have a GREAT shot since they're playing on their fast track at home. If Lafayette wins though, they have to keep the score low. Greenwood will win a shoot out type of game
Hmmm, that's a good question. Really tough to pick because they're so many great ones. If I had to go with one, I'd say Bruce's Donta Armstrong. He's great at QB and he's strong in the secondary. Chakel Gates, Dequin Babbitt, Lamontae Salley, Deangelo Liggins aren't too far behind. There are so many great players to choose from in that region.
Your thoughts on New Albany's season? What they need to work on in the off-season? Will they be more competitive next year? What to break their 4-6 slump?
Offense has to get better next year. Gotta be able to score. I think they have potential to be much better next season.
