Then you'll be fine! They're nice to you if you're nice to them. I'm in 8th grade and we feel that a lot of them act too old for their age and like you say, start drama. But I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Don't be afraid of the 8th graders, they won't do anything to you. Don't act like an idiot and they won't make fun of you. Also, make sure you act mature because a lot of the 8th graders are under the impression that the upcoming 7th graders start drama & are immature.
Most 7th graders are very immature and are drama addicted. But I am not I'd rather stay out of that and be on my own little island and not have annoying people starting drama about me.
